The former Ex Farmacia Solveni, in the heart of Venice’s Dorsoduro Museum Mile, will host the Pakistan Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

Titled “Punj•AB – A Sublime Terrain”, the project by artist Faiza Butt explores memory, heritage, and the layered cultural landscape of Punjab through a contemporary lens.

On May 8, 2025, the first edition of Universe Pavilion opened at Fàbrica 33 in Venice with “Sheltering in Space – A Guide”, curated by Claudia Schnugg and on view through July 31.

The exhibition explores the concept of shelter in extraterrestrial environments — from architectural and technological approaches to the symbolic, cultural, and psychological dimensions of inhabiting space.

A dynamic public program runs from May to July, starting on May 16, from 6:30pm to 10pm with a cosmic live performance “Inploration”, by the visionary Detroit-based band Infinite River and La Terraglio Danza.

From May 2025 to March 2026, Art for Action lands in Venice with “The Parliament of the Invisibles” – reclaiming space for unheard voices and transforming art into civic force.

The project, set to culminate in 2026 with a permanent public sculpture by Anish Kapoor, is unveiled this week with a program of exhibitions, talks, and events across the city.

Between The Human Safety Net – in the heart of St. Mark’s Square – and Emergency on Giudecca Island, Venice becomes the stage for a new civic art movement.
