Dustville Dancers

From the streets to the dancefloor, Dustville Dancers aims relentlessly to become one of the greats both locally and internationally. Born in St. Ann, Jamaica dancing has always played a vital role in the lives of these dancers for more than 10 years.

With the idea of touring the world their biggest motivation, Dustville Dancers strives endlessly to take part in any and almost every local competition to get their name out there so that they may one day be in the limelight of fame.

Since the secondary level of schooling from traditional Ferncourt High School and the Marcus Garvey Technical High of St. Ann, Dustville have been putting themselves out there. Dustville, with friends and supports would make time after school would get together and choreography dance routines and make new dance steps. This also gives light to the fact that they came up with the name Dustville because they would always practice and display their skills on a white dusty road close to the home of one of the founder of the group.

When school is out, they would venture out to different areas of the parish where they would make dance videos and make post on social media with the hope of getting recognized by an agency overseas. Dustville would also meet up with other dance group whether it is at social gatherings or elsewhere and do numerous rounds of dance offs, most of which they would be victorious. Dustville also made themselves known in the community and Jamaica thanks to their participation in the Tastee Talent Trial in 2008 and the Charles Chocolate Dancing Dynamite 2016 and placed second in both competitions. Relative to that, they made appearances at multiple private and public function and events across Jamaica including hotels and resorts on the island where they showcased their talents.

A diverse and versatile group, Dustville Dancers is able to choreograph dance routines to all genre of music and take the lead in dance classes as they have done so on many occasions, in schools, hotels and even in the general public. They, matter of factly had begun conducting classes in the town of Ocho Rios. It was riveting and went well however short-lived it was. At present, Dustville has been working on numerous musically pieces, proof of how versatile and flexible they are as a team. “Party here again”, was to first to be recorded by the group was produced by Bousy Killa a popular producer in St.Ann and the rhythm by Rollx Beats from Old Harbour, Jamaica. They also have their own videographer, photographer and graphic designer. Whom Have Done work for local and international artists and clientele for ; weddings, misic videos, parties, maternity shoots and private functions.............etc. The group has confidence in spreading their wings instead of limiting themselves.

Dustville strongly believes that everyone should dream big and work towards making those dreams a reality. “True talent will always standout”, a common phrase used by the dancers. Dustville should they become successful, it is their desire to give back to the community in ways convenient for them.
