My favorite logo redesign of 2025 - SAJE Property Service Limited.

Original logo: overly delicate and precious, type weight disappears at smaller sizes, red icon inset difficult to decipher / overly literal, color scheme conservative.

Update: Bolder, less traditional logotype more readable across wide size range, "SAJE PROPERTY" stands out immediately, red icon transformed to more universal location pointer, contemporary vibrant colors.

Your thoughts - successful rebrand, or better off as it was? Give reasons - have at it!

The Global Services Association of Jamaica (GSAJ) formerly BPIAJ, commissioned me to produce this 2-sided flyer to promote two business incubator sites they host in Jamaica. I had a one-day turnaround. What do you need me to professionally design for you when time is short? I'm here for it.

I'm old enough to remember when Graphic Design for editorial publication (magazine, annual report, prospectus etc.) used to have only Print as the end goal. Thankfully, and despite endless doomsaying, Print has not died. But it's partnered with Digital, and designers have to take that into account. I designed UNDP's most recent annual report with that in mind, and I think it worked out quite well. Give me a shout when you're ready to do your next publication!

The Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission of Jamaica (BGLC) commissioned me to produce this 30sec 50th Anniversary video - with a one-week turnaround, we were happy with the outcome!

A family member put me in touch with a friend of hers who had an idea to make a custom graphic t-shirt with the well known saying "It is what it is" featured as the main design. This is what I came up with. I think it ended up pretty cool!

I was a graphic designer at a small boutique firm for 20+ years. About 5 years into that, a client who really liked a set of banners we had done for a function asked us "can you do a video based on those banner graphics?". Now, nobody in our firm had any idea how to do that, and this was back in the earliest days of non-linear editing on the desktop. Of course, we said yes! Then proceeded to spend the next week of sleepless nights learning how to edit using Final Cut Pro, a then brand new NLE on our Apple G3 PowerMac. By the end of that week, we had produced something the client loved, even if we weren't entirely sure how we did it, which opened up a whole new revenue stream for our firm. Lesson learned - if it can be done, you can learn to do it. There are limits, of course, and one should not strive to be master of all trades. But a lot of the limitations we put on ourselves are self-imposed.

Presentations need graphic design TLC, but all too often they're dominated by millions of bullet points, and slides that duplicate the presenter notes verbatim on screen. But the visual aspect of a presentation should be honed and crafted to SUPPORT what the presenter is saying, to help hammer home their message - not to try to BE the whole message. Here's an example of a slide deck I designed for my wife (who is an amazing psychologist, by the way!) for a presentation she did on "Balance". See what you think. Not your typical PowerPoint, eh?
