Every challenge, every experience, and every delay has some lesson or value to be gained from it. Sometimes, those lessons are for us and sometimes we are used to bringing that lesson across to others. Romans 5: 3-5 says it best "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
However, rest assured that anything that you left or felt like you lost was you receiving a blessing in disguise. It absolutely hurts at the moment but look how many people die or are attacked on the news daily due to betrayal from people that they know. As Romans 8: 18 states " I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." We serve a God of restoration, rejuvenation, and reinvention. So anything that is disrupted, delayed, deceased, or destroyed will be made better AT THE RIGHT TIME as long as you trust God and have enough faith to follow Him. I really like what was said in Isaiah 41: 13: " For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."Â
This too shall pass but while it is passing, you can still learn from it. One of the I learned is that you have to lose some things and some people to see what was wrong in the first place. Did you recently discover that you have fake friends? Recently got diagnosed with social anxiety? Are your finances messed up? It is an opportunity to trust God, work through the situation with His help, and see how He can show you how to find your blessings in the situation. Worrying about your situation will not give you peace. What will give you peace is letting go and trusting that God has got it.
