بصفتنا راعيًا بلاتينيًا، كان شرفًا كبيرًا لنا في Correct Marketing & Advertising أن نكون جزءًا من هذا الحدث الاستثنائي. ونتقدم بخالص الشكر والتقدير لإدارة الجامعة، وفريق TEDx المنظم، وجميع القائمين على هذا الحدث، على تقديم تجربة راقية بتنظيم احترافي يرتقي إلى المستوى العالمي.

Hashtags are dead.
Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri just confirmed what we’ve been suspecting for months

Posts with hashtags performed exactly the same as posts without them. Sometimes even worse.

Hashtags can actually signal the algorithm that you’re trying to game the system.

Here’s what happened:
Instagram flipped the script. It used to care about WHAT you tagged.

Now it only cares about WHO engages.

Your friend’s comment beats every time.

The algorithm sees hashtags as manipulation now.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

They don’t help discovery anymore.
They don’t bring new followers.
And worse - they might hurt your reach because the platform sees them as manipulation attempts.

Going viral doesn’t depend on tricks anymore. Here’s what actually works:

1. Make every second count:

A 30-second video with 100% retention destroys a 3-minute video with 50% retention. Even though the longer video gets more total watch time per person, Instagram rewards the one people actually finish. Percentage of watch time OVER duration of watch time

2. Get people curious about you:

Profile visits are everything now. If someone sees your post and thinks “who is this person?” enough to click your profile, that tells Instagram your content is genuinely interesting. Not just scroll-stopping, but personality-revealing.

3. Create save & share-worthy content:

Saves mean someone found real value. For example, you always save a video that has travel hacks or ways to get discount.
Shares mean they’re willing to bet their reputation on your content. Both signal way more than likes, which are basically just polite nods at this point.

4. Spark actual conversations:

“Great post!” comments do nothing because they show zero genuine engagement. But when someone shares their own story or asks a real question? That’s the gold Instagram looks for.

The platform got tired of people gaming hashtags with random tags. Now it rewards authentic human connections instead of optimization tricks.

I ditched hashtags completely a while ago. My posts perform better without them.

Turns out focusing on humans instead of algorithms actually works better for the algorithm.

Weird how that works.
