In 2024, the country experienced a 16% growth in startups, bringing the total to 4,719. Collectively, these startups generated €2.6 billion in revenue, with €1.5 billion from exports. Notably, a third of these startups are export-oriented, with exports accounting for 58% of their total revenue, significantly higher than the national average of 20%.

この度、京阪神スタートアップ・エコシステムのグローバルゲートウェイとしての機能を強化するため、 #内閣府拠点都市推進事業 の一環で、 #日本貿易振興機構(JETRO) 、 #兵庫県、 #神戸市 の主催で実施されます『NEXT KITCHEN 2025：グローバルフードテックカンファレンス』を開催いたします。

食需要の多様化や少子高齢化など、様々な変化が迫られている今。

#兵庫県は、古くから、海と山地で育まれた食物の恩恵を受け、多くの食品事業が根づき、その時代に合わせたイノベーションを取り入れ、神戸港は世界との玄関口として、海外の文化を取り入れ、先進的な産業も生まれてきました。

2024年の締めくくりとして、今年の弊社の活動と、進展を振り返りをさせていただきます！

🚀日本での事業展開
・神戸市のグローバル・スタートアップ支援事業において、海外スタートアップと日本の大手企業間における連携、協業を複数実現しました。
・海外の大学や資金提供を受けたスタートアップ向けに、ビジネス開発マネージャーサービスを開始。最初のパートナー大学では、商業的利益を早々に実現し、今後数年間のパートナーシップ契約も決定しています。

🌎グローバル・スタートアップ開発
・大阪大学とのユニークなプログラムでは、博士課程の優秀な研究員を対象に、サイエンスベースのスタートアップのシリコンバレーでのプレゼンテーション準備のためのトレーニングを実施しました。
・オーストリア、ドイツ、シンガポール、ウガンダ、米国、オーストラリア、日本からのスタートアップ代表団を招聘し、弊社のノウハウを共有しました。
・「京阪神スタートアップエコシステムプログラム」において、グローバル・ベンチャーキャピタルを日本に招聘し、多くの日本のディープテック・スタートアップとの協業の機会創出を行いました。

💡起業家人材育成
・ウェスタン・シドニー大学や、文部科学省(MEXT) 管轄のプログラムなど、グローバルな起業家育成プログラムを設計・提供しました。
・大阪市との連携のもと、25歳以下の優秀な日本人イノベーターをオーストラリア・メルボルンのイノベーション・エコシステムに招聘するプログラムを設計しました。これらの人材は、今後、我々スタートアップ・プログラムやビジネス開発の機会で活躍することが見込まれています。

これらは、今年の活動の一部に過ぎませんが、Innovation Dojoチーム、パートナーの皆様、そして”the Dojo”を中心に成長を続ける国際的なイノベーション・コミュニティの努力と知見なしには成し得なかったことです。皆様のサポートに心より感謝申し上げます。

🇺🇬Uganda ICT Business Seminar, Pitch Event, and Networking Session🇺🇬

Today, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) hosted the “Uganda ICT Business Seminar, Pitch Event, and Networking Session” with Invest in Kobe at ANCHOR KOBE（アンカー神戸） .

This event served as a vital platform for exploring business opportunities in Kobe as well as introducing the benefits of expanding their business in Kobe.

With Uganda’s ICT sector growing at over 106% annually, the event was particularly significant for businesses and students interested in this dynamic market.

The seminar was conducted in line with JICA’s “ICT Industry Promotion Project,” aimed at strengthening Uganda’s ICT sector in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance (MoICT&NG).

Attendees had the unique opportunity to hear pitches from four selected dynamic Ugandan ICT companies, each represented by professionals, showcasing the promising landscape of Uganda’s growing technology industry.

The event highlighted the latest trends in Uganda’s ICT sector, providing valuable insights for businesses while facilitating networking opportunities for participants to expand their connections freely!

JICA will hold the event: “Uganda ICT Business Seminar, Pitch Event, and Networking Session”!

Participation from the companies interested in doing business with Uganda, those wanting to engage in global social contribution businesses in the ICT field, and anyone interested in expanding into Africa or learning more about Africa and Uganda are all welcome for this event!!

JICA is implementing the “ICT Industry Promotion Project” to support Uganda’s ICT sector in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance (MoICT&NG) of Uganda.

As part of the project activities, JICA will hold the “Uganda ICT Business Seminar, Pitch Event, and Networking Session” on Tuesday, October 29, at Anchor Kobe, with the cooperation of Kobe City. This event is expected to be attended by representatives from the Ugandan Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, four Ugandan ICT companies, Kobe City, and JICA project stakeholders.

On the day of the event, there will be pitches from four Ugandan ICT companies featuring ICT professionals with advanced English skills selected by the project, as well as presentations on the latest trends in Uganda’s ICT industry. Networking opportunities with the Ugandan government and ICT companies will also be provided.
