I was honored to be able to stay for a couple of days in a beautiful place full of nature in the northern area of Niigata called "Agamachi", every day we had the mission of capturing its amazing landscapes and rich nature. ⁣

So please enjoy this video full of good vibes made by a good friend of mine and myself.⁣

After being here I felt I got back a part of myself that side of humanity that is sensitive and emotional, usually this side of oneself is easier to get lost or ignore in a fast-speed city like Tokyo. ⁣

I highly recommend you guys get into this kind of virgin land and escape from the city from time to time.⁣

This time I had the pleasure of being the web director & branding designer of a very interesting website for "Awai Project" produced by one good friend and client of mine from Tohoku,⁣
this project is a tale of a journey to a foreign land where you as the “traveler” will be getting immerse in an ethereal tour for two nights and three days, with the aim of disconnecting you from the normal world and getting you back to your inner child from you as a “traveler" to "storyteller".⁣

In this opportunity, I was commissioned to design a logomark for Powerfull Care, ⁣ a childcare and education company from Osaka. It was a very interesting design process because it took some time to educate the client to understand ⁣how good logos are made, in the end, I ended up building a good trust with them and ⁣from this moment we started a very positive human and business relationship.⁣

Sometimes taking time to make a good logo and build it slowly with the client ⁣
following the whole process can help to understand design as a complex procedure ⁣and make them value it more.⁣

今回長い間にお世話になってい大阪にある教育関連会社からロゴマークデザインを⁣担当させてもらいました。⁣

もともとロゴタイプがありましたが、なんとなく会社が拡大となり、⁣そろそろ何かイメージをリニューアルをしたいと言われて、元々のロゴタイプに⁣合うロゴマークを作ったらどうかなという提案からデザインのプロセスがスタートしました。⁣

時間をかけて、クライアントと一緒にロゴマークを作りましたので、⁣しっかりデザインの一個ずつのプロセスを見てもらった結果、⁣信頼につながり、友達とビジネス関係まで展開しました。⁣

Discovering the beauty of China in Dali! 🇨🇳⁣

I've been always interested in China, but somehow I didn't have the chance to travel there. ⁣
⁣
Then a couple of years ago during one business trip with Jetro to Tokamachi in Nigata (.information), during my relaxation time on an onsen there, I had the chance to meet the CEO of a great hotel in Dali, called , he started to talk to me about this place, about Dali, and then I got interested in it. ⁣
⁣
Then we kept the conversation while drinking beer, we talked a lot about sociology, philosophy, and the humanization of modern people, stuff like that, then I decided to go and visit him there. Once there I had just fallen in love with "Dali", it was stunning! I felt like I was myself inside a kung fu movie or something like that. The air, the food, the landscapes, everything amazed me. Here you are a little introduction to Dali. Enjoy it! 😎⁣

中国の宝物「大理」を発見！🇨🇳⁣

ずっと前から中国に行きたい思いがあったけど、きっかけがなくて行っていなかったが、ある時新潟にある十日町(.information)にJETROの仕事で出張で滞在していた松之山温泉の温泉の中であるすごいホテルの代表を知り合って、最初は温泉の中で大理や中国のことについて話してくれて、めっちゃ興味を持ったらから、温泉上がりでも飲みにいって話を続けた。⁣
その日のきっかけでやっと中国との縁ができ、雲南省にある「大理」という地域に行くことにした。⁣

大理に行ったら、自分が思っていた中国のイメージと色々と違って、すごい場所やなと思ったり、大理の空気や景色、料理、全部に驚かされてすごく好きになった。それで今回のビデオはその中で感じた少しのことを紹介するので、ぜひみてください！😎⁣

Desde siempre he estado interesando en China y su cultura. Sin embargo, nunca tuve la oportunidad de viajar allí.⁣

Hace un par de años conocí en un onsen de Niigata a un CEO de un Hotel llamado en China, allí hablamos de temas diversos tales como la humanización del humano moderno, la cultura asiática, occidental, etc. Y me invitó a conocer su lugar de nacimiento en "Dali" en China. ⁣
⁣
Ir allá me cambió por completo mi manera de ver, pensar y entender sobre China. Fue una experiencia increíble, tuve la dicha de poder visitar estas tierras en varias oportunidades y diferentes estaciones, quedé impresionado con la belleza de sus paisajes, de su gente, sus comidas y cultura. なぜ習字を始めたのか？ ✍🏻

実は小さい頃から字が綺麗だったけど、小学校4年生の時からディクテーションの授業のせいで早く字を書かないといけなくて、毎回先生に急がされたりして、嫌いだったけど早くかけるようになったら今度字がすごく汚くなって、仕方がないのでどんどん字が下手になっていった。ところが、数年後日本の書道のドキュメンタリーを見て、ゆっくり書けたりするのと書道家によってスピードなどは違ったりして、うわあ！これを勉強したいなと思って、日本語を勉強し始めたという。そこからずっと習字をやってきて、ちょっとずつ小さい頃にあった感覚が戻ってきたような気がする。

Why do I study calligraphy? ✍🏻

I have been good at handwriting since I was very little. But I was slow when handwriting because I wanted to write it beautifully, somehow at school when dictation class I was too slow and the teacher was always pushing me to write fast, so at some point, I started writing fast and horrible.

But I still remember I never liked it, that sensation of following everyone's speed of writing. I just wanted to write at my own speed. Then, years later, Japanese calligraphy got my attention, because it seemed to be written slowly, the same way I used to like to do handwriting when I was a kid. I guess there are different kinds of sensations that are good to get back even years later.

I can say now that calligraphy helped me a lot to stay focused on myself and develop different observation skills I didn't have before. 💪🏻

¿Por qué estudio caligrafia? 🇪🇸

Desde pequeño me gustaba mucho escribir. De hecho tenía la letra bonita en esa época, pero cuando empezaron las clases de dictado era el más lento de la clase, por lo que me presionaban mucho para terminar a tiempo debido a que el objetivo del dictado era tomar notas, no escribir bonito. Sin embargo dichas actividades me disgustaban mucho porque yo disfrutaba mucho escribir lentamente y que cada letra quedara perfectamente balanceada. Con el tiempo me rendí y empecé a escribir rápido y horriblemente.

Años más tarde me empecé a interesar por la caligrafía japonesa debido a un documental que vi en la televisión donde hablaban de de que en la caligrafía japonesa cada calígrafo seguía su ritmo y que en el nivel más básico, todo se escribía de manera lenta y pausada, al ver eso me quedo grabado en la mente y me decidí a estudiar el idioma japonés con el fin de estudiar caligrafía. Luego de aprender el idioma y llevar tanto tiempo estudiando la escritura japonesa, creo que finalmente me he podido re encontrar con esa sensación que tanto me gustaba de escribir lentamente. Dicha practica me ha ayudado también a desarrollar la observación a un nivel más profundo, algo que no tenía antes.

日本の火山巡り🌋

2年前から日本にある様々な火山に感覚が目覚めまて、九州のいろんな火山と出会い恋に落ちました。

初恋は桜島で、２番目の恋は高千穂峰、３番目の恋は浅間山でした。

Since about 2 years ago I just became aware of volcanoes, after visiting Kyushu I just starting to fall in love with Volcanoes.

My first love was Sakurajima, the second was Takachihonomine, the third one was Asamayama.

Desde hace aproximadamente 2 años empecé a sentir un gusto por los volcanes de Japón. Después de visitar el sur de Kyushu, comencé a sentir admiración por los volcanes, mi primer amor volcánico fue Sakurajima, el segundo Takachihonomine, y el tercero Asamayama.

ブランディングデザイン / グッドデザイン2019受賞

2018年に福島県西会津の奥川村に誘われてプロジェクトに参加しました。ここで初めて日本の村のためにデザインの力を活かせることができました。その翌年にローカルコミュニティのカテゴリでグッドデザインを受賞しました。

In 2018 I was part of a project in Nishiaizu at Fukushima prefecture. It was my first output of designing for small local communities in Japan, were eventually in 2019 I won the "Good Design" Award in the branding for local communities category.

En 2018 fui parte de un proyecto para Nishiaizu en la prefectura de Fukushima. Este fue el primero de varios proyectos donde tuve la oportunidad de diseñar a favor del desarrollo visual de comunidades locales en Japón.

Al año siguiente dicho proyecto fue galardonado con el premio "Good Design" en la categoría de branding para comunidades locales.
