思わず足を止めたくなる、静かな一枚。
海と空を背景に置かれたのは、しなやかな曲木が美しいベントウッドチェア。
ただそこにあるだけで、豊かな物語を感じさせてくれます。
A quiet scene that makes you stop and look.
A bentwood chair, known for its elegant curved wood,
is placed against the backdrop of the sea and sky,
evoking a story simply by being there.
まるで、つい先ほどまで誰かが座り、
海を眺めていたかのような余韻——。
It feels as if someone had been sitting there just moments ago,
gazing out at the sea.
本展では、広告写真家・島田勝巳さんが
約20年にわたり撮り続けてきた「海と椅子」の世界をご紹介。
This exhibition features works by advertising photographer Katsumi Shimada,
who has been capturing the theme of “the sea and chairs” for nearly 20 years.
