STUDENT DIES AT CHUKA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL

A Form Three student at Chuka Girls High School identified as 16 year old Cynthia Mwende, died after allegedly hanging herself inside St. Angela’s dormitory at the school yesterday evening.

According to Police Commander Zacheaus Ng’eno, the motive behind the student’s alleged su***de remains unknown and she used a bedsheet. Her parents arrived at the school yesterday evening and are still engaging with the school management as investigations continue.

Ng’eno said the student’s body had no visible injuries or marks. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Efforts by journalists to reach the school’s principal, Mrs. Harriet Kinyua, for comment were unsuccessful, as she declined to speak to the media about the incident.

This boy, Moses Wachira, 11 years old, has been found and is currently at Makima Police Station, Embu County.

He says his father is called Linus Mushangi Muchiri and his mother is Alice Wanjiku. Moses says that before his father and mother separated in Nairobi, they lived in Evurori, and he believes his father may still be there.

Anyone who knows Moses or his family, or has information that may help trace his parents, is kindly requested to contact Makima Police Station or share this post widely to help reunite him with his family. 🙏

Incoming Embu Woman Representative Dorothy Karimih (DotCom) has taken her grassroots campaign to the heart of the community, promising a new dawn of economic security for local women's groups.

Speaking during her interactive tour across the sub-counties, Dorothy noted that women are the ultimate anchors of our families and rural economy, yet they have been left to carry heavy financial burdens alone.

"One of my main focuses is to make sure our women’s chamas grow by accessing real business capital," Dorothy stated. "I want to see the women of Embu smile again, and see their faces light up with genuine pride and financial peace of mind. We are moving away from empty political promises and setting up structures that deliver real home solutions directly to your village groups."

She pledged complete transparency in the management of school bursaries and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) to ensure resources reach the ground without political bias.
