His Excellency the governor Kisii County Simba Arati has launched his road network development plan through showcasing a fleet of machinery for these works.
The Gusii stadium was filled beyond capacity with the crowd eager to see the heavy machines.
This will be the first among many governors to cut road development fund budget while continuously opening and maintaining the road network among other public works. In his nine sub counties, there is an assurance of good workmanship and economic empowerment through employment of over 1000 people who will be working with the machines.
The equipment include: excavators, Backhoe loaders, Bulldozers, Wheel loaders, Motor graders,rollers among other equipment. The governor also opened the mechanical maintenance unit which he recently launched and oversaw it's construction.
Other leaders who were present congratulated the governor saying in one voice he had set the bar too high for any leader in his development agenda. They included the Kisii county DG Elijah Obebo, Education CS Migos Ogamba,South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro who is also the chief whip in the National assembly, Nyaribari Chache MP Zahir Jhanda, Nyaribari Masaba MP Daniel Manduku, West Mugirango MP Stephen Mogaka, Bomachoge Chache MP Alfah Miruka, Kitutu Chache MP Japhet Nyakundi, Nominated MP Irene Mayaka, Kenyan envoy to Belgium Joash Maangi, Kisii County Assembly Speaker Philip Nyanumba, Deputy speaker Jacob Bagaka, Kisii county assembly Leader of majority Henry Moracha, among other leaders and a host of MCAs also were in attendance.
