Ramco Group Limited Rambhai Patel came to Kenya in mid 1940s from the Gujarat region of India. In 1948, he founded Rambhai & Co.

Ramco Group is a conglomerate of over 40 companies operating within East Africa with a focus in 6 sectors: Print, Hardware, Manufacturing, Office Supplies, Services & Property. Ltd, a small hardware store in downtown Nairobi, and that was the humble beginning of what is now the Ramco Group. His three sons joined the family business after their studies, and based on these strong family ties, the gr

oup built a solid foundation on which it could grow and expand. Ramco Group’s initial expansion was within the hardware and building supplies industry which the family knew well. The third generation joined the business in the mid 1990s and over the years they have used the strength of technology, innovations and strategic
partnerships to position the group as a leader in diverse sectors of the economy. The Group has now grown into a privately owned group of over 40 companies across the East Africa region. With an annual turnover exceeding USD 320 million, the group employs over 4,000 people across six different sectors of print, hardware and trading, manufacturing and supplies, office supplies, services, and property. Each company within the group is recognized as a key player within its sector and is driven by a passion for excellence in quality and customer service.
