HOW TO SHOW YOURSELF IN YOUR BRAND

Welcome back!
Personal brands are on an uprise more so now as people are looking for online avenues to add in a stream of income or set up shop and make a career using that power of the internet. This creates a need for individuals to display their unique aspects (I'm not only talking about posting pictures of yourself, of course that is part of the process) so let us look at some of the different ways to achieve that

• Take time to have Personal Discovery
We all claim to know ourselves but have you had time to know who you really are? Take some time to answer important questions (by yourself and for yourself) like why I'm I really here, what do I believe in, what are my experiences etc.

• Share your Lessons and Experiences
The easiest way to get confident in showing oneself is by sharing one's experiences and the lessons they've learnt over the years. This makes it an easier experience by putting less pressure on yourself.

• Know and use your Tone
Not knowing how you sound makes it harder to harness its power and potential. Know the kind of picture you want to paint for your audience and let that guide you in showing yourself through words.

• Develop a knack for Stories
We all hear tales (some are real and some are not) and seem to be fascinated by them. Why? The human brain is wired to love them. They help form a picture of things or situations. Tell a story by sharing your unique experiences, goals, benefits of what you are offering etc.

• Your best friend is Consistency
Remember, it's not who has the best personality that wins (no personality is superior), it's who makes the most noise. And consistently for that matter. Don't ghost your audience, show up and make noise as much as possible.

BUILDING A BRAND

Building a brand is an exciting adventure for starting and continuing businesses. It is long term committment to hold certain values that invoke inspiration, passion and love when customers interact with your services or products. You'll have to work on a lot of projects, meet a lot of deadlines, question yourself (what you are passionate about, where to start, if there is a market for your commodity, if there are others doing what you are doing etc.) and most importantly, you'll have to write your vision.

Understand the commitment. Question yourself. Write your vision. Create a strategy.

How amazing is it that businesses that have branched online are able to maintain and increase their customer market base. Whether you are a farmer selling produce, a restaurant serving up meals, a start-up working to gain traction etc. it has never been easier to make yourself present and visible online. Through platforms like facebook, instagram, twitter etc. businesses have leveraged the far reaching opportunities offered by these platforms. Facebook boasts 2.2 billion monthly active users, adding 6 new profiles every second. Twitter has 336 million. LinkedIn has 467 million, Instagram has reached 1 billion and is still rising. With all those people active on so many social media channels, why wouldn’t a brand want to engage with them?
At Jomu consulting, we will hold your hand while navigating these spaces together to: build a social presence on relevant social platforms, generate new customers, create valuable content that will educate your existing and potential customers and much much more. We have worked successfully with several brands in Nairobi with great results. The potential of growth is exponential as going viral through references and the cost effectiveness of not being charged to have your profile and self advertise. Tools such as Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, and other non-native tools, make measuring your social presence easy.

Our three packages: Presence, Sprout and Evolution ensure that our services cater to a wide range of clients.
