As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, we prepare to embrace Eid al-Fitr—a day of joy, gratitude, and togetherness. But for hundreds of orphans living in Kibra, Kawangware, Huruma, Baba Dogo, and Majengo slums in Nairobi, this day often comes with emptiness instead of joy.
While many of us celebrate with our loved ones, these children have no parents to dress them in new clothes or prepare a special meal.
