What is it like to be a teacher?

No two days are the same.

It's more about the students than about the subject.

You can share your interests with the students.

It's a career or a lifestyle, not just a job.

It can be the hardest job in the world and yet also one of the most rewarding.

You are educator, policeman, counsellor, parent, judge and jury and older brother/sister to name a few jobs.

Every teacher can tell you a story from the last week of their job. Some will be hilarious; some will be heartbreaking; some may be courageous; some will be of extreme stupidity.

You will care for hundred, even thousands of children. Some special ones may even thank you and one or two will stay in touch.

It's not for everyone.
