Within hours of the Venezuela earthquake, GeoPoll reached 425 households directly by WhatsApp to find out what people were actually facing on the ground.

In the six hardest-hit states, the picture is stark: 10 homes destroyed or unsafe, 41 families displaced from their own homes, 19 households with no drinking water at all, and 67 people unable to reach most of their family or friends.

This kind of household-level data closes the gap between what responders know and what's really happening, in the critical hours when speed saves lives.
