Aligned Culture
As leaders, we must recognize that if an organization's culture is not aligned with its strategy, the strategy will remain nothing more than a good intention. A misaligned culture creates resistance, confusion, and poor ex*****on.
I had the privilege of engaging in a thought-provoking conversation with the Board of Directors of Mwalimu National Sacco, the largest Sacco in Kenya and Africa. The discussion also involved the management team and staff, as we explored the critical role of culture in driving strategic success.
Reflecting on this engagement from 2023, I remain convinced that such leadership and organizational culture trainings are essential for taking institutions to the next level. They help create shared values, strengthen ex*****on, and ensure that everyone is moving in the same direction.
My view is simple: organizations must deliberately align their culture with their strategic objectives. Otherwise, strategies become documents that gather dust on shelves while confusion and inefficiency take root.
In today's fast-changing environment, culture is not a soft issue. It is a strategic asset. When culture and strategy work together, organizations unlock sustainable growth, high performance, and lasting impact.
I will be sharing more insights from my engagement with various Organizations.
