Making sure you secure your social media accounts is one of the most underrated ways of protecting your business online.

If you are just getting started, ensure:

✅ The email used to create the account belongs to you, not your cyber guy or social media manager.

✅ The contact information attached to the account is yours or your business’s.

✅ Avoid reusing old contact details that were previously used to open other accounts, as this can create admin and ownership issues later.

✅ Securely save your passwords using tools such as Google Password Manager. This makes it easier to access your accounts and recover login details whenever you need them in the future.

After opening your account, the next important step is enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
