A Milestone in Women's Health: Filming a Cervical Cancer Screening Documentary in KARF KENYA
Last week, we had the profound honor of bringing to life a vision that began over a year ago a documentary highlighting a groundbreaking technology for self-sample collection in HPV screening, aimed at transforming cervical cancer prevention in Kenya. This project, born from passion and purpose, came together through the power of collaboration, overcoming challenges to craft a compelling narrative that will amplify the incredible work being done to empower women and vulnerable communities.
In partnership with BD, HealthStrat, the Nairobi County, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, National Cancer Institute and other key health stakeholders, Havas Media is proud to shine a spotlight on this innovative approach to HPV screening, which promises to make early detection more accessible and equitable. The energy on set was electric, fueled by a shared commitment to creating meaningful change. Every frame captured reflects the strength of our partnerships and the transformative potential of this technology.
It was a deeply moving experience to work alongside Danielle Pipher Clemente and MARYANNE OTIENO. Thank you for entrusting Havas Africa Kenya with this vital project. We’re thrilled about the potential of this documentary to save women’s lives and reshape the narrative around early cervical cancer screening, not just in Kenya but worldwide. We can’t wait to share the final film a powerful testament to what we can achieve together.
