About National division one sponsorship deal

In July 2020 Kenya football federation entered into a 100M sponsorship deal with gaming site Betking Kenya for third tier league the national division one.All the 32 sides from Zone A comprising of teams from( coast, Nairobi, eastern,Central and north eastern) and zone B(rifty valley, Nyanza and Western) were to receive yearly grands of 500,000Ksh.The league commenced and teams are approaching mid season but no single cent has been channelled to them. The league's name has already been changed to Betking division one league up to now the clubs have not received any communication concerning the same.I got a budget of a Zone A side who requires 95,000ksh to honour a single match and 70,000Ksh for Zone B side which when you calculate the sponsorship money will do 5 games in zone A and 7 in Zone B.The Betking deal doesn't state how much the leagues winner will earn apart from promotion to the National super league. Mos of this clubs don't have stadium and most of them use school grounds to host their matches so to honour matches alone a club need 1.52M a season but you don't know what you are fighting for isn't this ignorance from the club's side??? 32 teams fighting for 3 slots what about the 29 remaining clubs what are they fighting for??? Its just laughable on how someone will spend more than 1.5M to earn nothing.Even in local tournaments teams will never play without knowing what they are fighting for.lets say at the end of the season you are not given anything on what basis will you complain??? I think this clubs could have fought hard to get at least 1M or the 500K and negotiate the sponsor to pay referees and at least give them equipments that is training balls and beebs,Match day balls and beebs and pay referees then clubs to sort their players and transport in this one if there are club representatives who negotiated the deal then the failed on their part.
(If you get 1M grand and since most of this clubs are run by individuals you can mobilize a further 2M add on you stand at 3M get two nice 14 seaters matatus put them on a sacco to work for 6 days each will fetch you 8k times 2 thats 16K daily and 96K weekly.and it will help you on match days.when you are the home team team expenses reduce and thats what you will use to mantain them.)
I talked to club representatives both in Zone A and B and non has gotten the funds and reading malice from the same.

"Meeting hatukuenda wote tuko na representatives so ni ngumu kujua actual outcome of the negotiation and what they bargained for of the price money hatujaambiwa na pia pesa hazijahit accounts zetu" that was a response from a team playing in Zone B

"Having a team in the city is another headache because we hire training and match day venues then add the fact that we have fixtures as far as coast where you have to set aside 3-4 days to honour a single match add to other expenses then you are to get 500K and up to now it hasn't been remitted to our accounts.we are just doing it for the love of the game" said a club officials from a team based in Nairobi featuring in zone A

Another club official who never wanted to be known told me
"We Were promised a lot during the meeting but nothing has come out yet acha tupambane na hali zetu zenye tulikua tumozoea"

Its complains allover but my blame will be shared by both the clubs and the federation. The federation as custodian of football in the country should move with speed to push sponsors to honour their part and at least should get the funds before signing the deals
On the clubs part they should have met first table their request meet at a common ground a table their demands.

Land, plot owners in Kenya to apply for new title deeds

Title Deeds in Kenya: Kenyans who own land or plots with title deeds will now have to apply for fresh title deeds. This comes after the Lands and Physical Planning ministry shifted the administration and management of land to new laws to boost efficiency in transactions and curb fraud.

“All transactions or dealings relating to parcels within the registration unit shall from April 1,2021 be carried out in the new registers,” the ministry said. Previously, title deeds were issued under the Registered Land Act (RLA), the Registration of Titles Act (RTA), the Land Titles Act (LTA), and the Government Lands Act (GLA).

The new title deeds will now be handled under the Land Registration Act, 2012. Already, the ministry is conducting a pilot for the migration of the title deeds in Nairobi County. The pilot has earmarked 5,493 parcels for migration.

Title deeds issued under the RLA and RTA are the most common in Kenya. The Registrar of Lands will now new ones to replace them under different numbers.

“The current titles will be cancelled and new ones issued under the new legal regime while retaining the ownership, size and the other interests registered against the respective title,” said Farida Karoney, the cabinet secretary for Lands and Physical Planning

“Title documents held by third parties, including banks, hospitals, and courts as security at the time of commence Lands ment, shall be replaced upon application by the proprietor. The general public is advised to take note of the converted parcel numbers.”

Ms. Karoney added that the Land ministry will replace the title deed plans and instead use the Registry Index Maps (RIMs) as a reference. “The RIMs display all land parcels within an area as opposed to a deed plan that captures data on one specific parcel. It is thus easy to note any change or alteration,” she said.

A report that appeared in a local daily explained that “the conversion process will entail preparation of cadastral maps together with a conversion list indicating new and old numbers for parcels of land within a registration unit or registration section/ block and their corresponding acreages. The cadastral maps together with a conversion list will be published in the Kenya Gazette and daily newspapers, with the notice specifying when the register shall be open to the public for transactions or dealings within the registration unit.” Title Deeds in Kenya.
