I stood still to view the rare and special spectacle heading my way,
Sunrays beat her bushy head like isukuti drums
Spikes of her hair wove in and out of one another, like waves on the turbulent sea
It overflowed out of the crest of her head landing on her shiny forehead, juicy temples, then shoulders
Some made bouffant, bristy, curly, coiffed
Close-cropped, luxuriant, nappy, glossy, frizzy, Sleek & fuzzy formations
It was fresh, as sweet as caramel it smelt
It demanded all the attention.

I said, "For your hair, I would peel open the clouds like an orange
I would make the sky shed all of its stars like rain
And I would make the heavens your umbrella
And they would be pleased to cover you May I please, cover you, please"

She smiled at me while her hair glowed with a radiant flame of joy
