Do you think search queries or search terms are the same as keywords?

I used to confuse these two words and want to say that keywords and search queries are not the same!

πŸ‘Ύ Search Query
Search query is usually used by people (users) to do a search on Google or any search engine.

Example: If someone wants to buy "Skincare" then the user search query might be:
- Buy skincare online
- Brand skincare promotion
- Best skincare for pimple
- Skincare product for dry skin
- Which skincare products should I apply in the morning? ...

So whatever the user searches for or writes on the search box, it will be a query, and from the above query Skincare is a keyword.

Keywords are specific words or phrases that users are looking for! Obviously, as in the example above, Skincare is a keyword that users are looking for and want to know!

Queries are usually used by people (users), keywords are used by SEO experts or related sections, and users do not know what keywords are. They only seek information with specific questions that they want to know.

So as an SEO you have to look at both because the keywords you are looking for are in the user query.

Simply put, it is:
- User uses a query.
- SEO or marketer uses a keyword.
