Quantity of Steel Required in 1 m³ of Concrete

The amount of reinforcement steel in reinforced concrete varies depending on the structural member, loading conditions, and design requirements. The percentages shown below are commonly used for preliminary estimation only.

• Slab (1% Steel): Approximately 392.5 kg of steel per 1 m³ of concrete.
• Beam (2% Steel): Approximately 785 kg of steel per 1 m³ of concrete.
