Beautifully said and recently experienced it.

𝟭𝟬 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀

𝟏. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐫.
You realize you’re not the center of the universe. You see lives so different from yours and it softens you. You learn that the way you grew up isn’t the only way to live—and maybe not even the best.

𝟐. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
Navigating language barriers, unfamiliar cities, and missed trains teaches you to trust yourself. You stop freaking out over small things because you've already figured out how to survive being lost in Tokyo or mispronouncing “merci” in Paris.

𝟑. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥.
You begin to ask why instead of assuming you’re right. Different cultures make you unlearn some things—and that’s where growth starts.

𝟒. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝.
A stranger offers you directions, a local shares their favorite food with you, and suddenly the world doesn’t feel so divided. It feels... human.

𝟓. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐬.
Food becomes more than food—it becomes memory. That street ramen in Seoul. That homemade paella in Valencia. You’re not just eating. You’re learning someone’s story.
