The Hyundai Seoul ORB Media Contents

Ornament Fantasy 콘텐츠는 ORB를 화면이 아니라 하나의 크리스마스 오브제로 보이게 만드는 콘텐츠입니다. 관객이 짧게 스치듯 마주하는 환경을 고려해 천과 서리가 벗겨지고 눈과 빛, 리스가 완성되는 연출로 ORB가 장식되는 대상임을 보여줍니다. 이후 선물 포장지와 리본이 표면을 따라 감기며 매체의 특성을 살린 연출로 마무리 됩니다.

Disney Collaboration 콘텐츠는 디즈니 캐릭터가 선물을 준비하고 배달하는 크리스마스 스토리를 전달합니다. 곡면구조로 인해 캐릭터의 비례와 인상이 달라 보일 수 있어 정면 가시 영역을 기준으로 배치하고, 칩앤데일이 선물을 준비하는 과정부터 선물을 포장하고 썰매를 타며 나눠주는 과정까지 ORB 표면을 따라 연출되는 방식으로 구성했습니다.

Ornament Fantasy transforms the ORB into a Christmas object, starting with fabric and frost fading away and building into snow, light, and a wreath. It ends with gift wrapping and ribbons flowing across the surface to highlight the ORB’s curvature.

Disney Collaboration tells a Christmas story of Disney characters preparing and delivering gifts. Characters are kept within the front-facing visible area to avoid distortion, and the scenes unfold along the ORB surface from preparation to sleigh delivery.

서울역 미디어는 이동 동선 중심의 공간으로 관람객의 체류 시간이 짧고 시선이 쉽게 분산됩니다.

이마고는 이러한 환경적 조건을 고려해 기차라는 콘셉트와 칸별로 다른 스토리를 설계하여, 관객이 어느 위치에서든 몰입할 수 있도록 연출했습니다.
 
주문서가 넘쳐나자 비상 모드로 전환된 어피치를 시작으로, 제과 공간의 라이언 옆으로 춘식이와 춘구마가 케이크를 엎으며 등장합니다. 포장 공간의 쏟아지는 선물들 사이에서 죠르디들이 정신없이 움직이고, 콩이와 밤이는 수많은 선물을 점검하며 준비된 선물을 운반할 준비를 마칩니다.

이러한 분주하고 소란스러운 해프닝들을 유쾌하고 사랑스러운 장면으로 풀어내며, 스토리 연출뿐만 아니라 매체의 특성을 고려한 설계로 대형 옥외매체에 몰입감 있는 새로운 경험을 제시했습니다.

Seoul Station media is a transit-oriented environment where viewing time is limited and attention is easily dispersed.

Taking these conditions into account, Imago designed the concept around a train with different stories unfolding in each car, allowing audiences to stay engaged from any viewpoint.

As orders overflow, APEACH switches into emergency mode. In the pastry car, CHOONSIK and CHOONGUMA burst in beside RYAN, knocking over a cake. Among the tumbling gifts in the packaging car, JORDY rushes about, while KONGBAMI carefully check countless presents and prepare them for transport.

Through these busy and chaotic moments, the story is presented in a playful and heartwarming way, offering a new immersive experience for large-scale outdoor media by designing both the narrative and the medium together.

달리는 기차 안, 각 칸마다 캐릭터들은 작은 산타가 되어 도착한 주문서를 확인하고 분류하며, 선물과 음식을 정성껏 준비합니다. 장난감 제작과 제과 작업, 포장과 배송 준비가 동시에 이어지며, 넘쳐나는 주문서로 인한 해프닝이 기차 안을 한층 더 분주하게 만듭니다.

Inside the moving train, each carriage fills with characters who become little Santas, checking and sorting incoming orders while carefully preparing gifts and treats. Toy making, baking, wrapping, and delivery preparations unfold at the same time, and the overflow of orders turns the train into a lively bustle.

Once the gifts are packed high onto the sleighs, they lift into the air and set off into the night sky alongside Santa Friends. A Rudolph-adorned train shines as it races through a star-filled night, bringing the story to a festive close.

산타프렌즈 프로젝트는 카카오프렌즈 IP를 다양한 옥외매체로 확장하는 데 초점을 두고 기획·연출되었습니다.
�서울역이라는 배경과 초대형 파노라마 미디어월의 형태를 고려하여, 루돌프 기차라는 메인 콘셉트를 정하였습니다.�

이를 바탕으로 카카오프렌즈 캐릭터들이 산타 역할을 수행하며 선물을 준비하고 배달하며, 이 과정에서 벌어지는 유쾌하고 사랑스러운 에피소드를 중심으로 이야기를 구성했습니다.

The Santa Friends project was planned and directed with a focus on expanding Kakao Friends IP across various outdoor media.�

Considering the setting of Seoul Station and the scale of its ultra-wide panoramic media wall, the main concept of a Rudolph train was established.
�Based on this concept, the story follows Kakao Friends characters as Santas, preparing and delivering gifts through playful and heartwarming episodes.

연말·연시 시즌에 맞춰, 장수와 번영을 기원하는 길상 이미지 ‘십장생도’를 콘텐츠의 중심 모티브로 삼았습니다. 좌우 스크린을 분리된 화면이 아닌 하나의 공간으로 연출했습니다. 겨울의 시작에서 새해의 시작으로 이어지는 연출을 중심으로, 계절과 시간의 흐름 속에서 느껴지는 연말·연시의 정서와 변화를 콘텐츠에 표현했습니다.

For the year-end and New Year season, we adopted Sipjangsaengdo—a traditional auspicious motif symbolizing longevity and prosperity—as the core theme of the content. Rather than treating the left and right screens as separate displays, we staged them as a single, continuous spatial experience. Centered on a transition from the onset of winter to the beginning of the new year, the piece captures the sentiment and subtle shifts of the season—expressing the mood and change that naturally emerge across time and atmosphere during this period.

본 프로젝트는 십장생도를 단순 차용하는 것이 아니라, 각 요소에 대한 형태·비례를 근거로 재해석하는 고증 과정을 선행했습니다.

해와 구름의 흐름, 산의 층위, 물결의 결, 학·사슴의 실루엣과 자세 등 요소별 특징을 세밀하게 분석하였고, 전통의 미학을 훼손하지 않으면서도 현대적인 미디어 환경에 어울리는 콘텐츠로 재구성했습니다. 특히 전통 공예 재료인 자개를 소재로 선택하여 질감을 세밀하게 표현하고, 장소에 맞는 미디어 아트를 구현했습니다.

This project does not simply borrow from Sipjangsaengdo; it begins with a research-driven reinterpretation grounded in the form and proportions of each motif.

We closely analyzed the defining characteristics of each element—such as the flow of the sun and clouds, the layered structure of the mountains, the grain of the waves, and the silhouettes and postures of cranes and deer—and reconstructed them into content suited to a contemporary media environment without compromising the traditional aesthetic.

In particular, we selected najeon (mother-of-pearl) as the primary material, rendering its texture with meticulous detail to realize a site-specific media artwork.

Created for the KT Square, this media facade reinterprets the Shipchangsaengdo and the beauty of Jagea to deliver a message of hope for the New Year. Based on rigorous research of traditional paintings, each motif was redesigned to harmonize authentic forms with the iridescent textures of Jagae.
