Spring in Seoul isn’t over just yet! Amongst all the other festivals. Here are our top festival picks! Enjoy the last bit of spring at these festivals. 🌸
1. Hangang River Festival: Spring
📍 Various Hangang parks, including Ichon, Banpo, Yeouido, Jamwon and more
Note: Some activities are free, while yacht, kayak, cruise, Tubester, and silent yoga programmes are paid.
2. Seoraeseom Island Picnic Concert
📍 Seoraeseom Island, Banpo Hangang Park
Free admission, excluding paid programmes.
3. Seoul Friendship Festival
📍 Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)
A global culture festival with performances, experiences, and food from around the world.
4. Gwanak Book & Bread Festival
📍 Byeolbit Naerincheon Stream, Sillim-dong
For anyone whose ideal weekend involves books, bakeries, and a slow neighbourhood wander.
5. Car-Free Jamsugyo Bridge Festival
📍 Jamsugyo Bridge and Banpo Hangang Park area
Free admission, excluding paid programmes.
6. Seoul Drum Festival
📍 Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)
A free rhythm-led festival with performances, workshops, clinics, exhibitions, and interactive experiences.
7. Lotus Lantern Festival / Yeondeunghoe
📍 Jongno Street, from Heunginjimun Gate to Jogyesa Temple; lantern exhibitions at sites including Jogyesa and Cheonggyecheon
The highlight is the lantern parade on 16 May, from 7pm to 9.30pm.
8. Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival
📍 Jungnang Rose Park
Expect roses, performances, parades, hands-on experiences, and local markets.
9. Seoul International Garden Show 2026
📍 Seoul Forest, extending towards the Han River, Seongsu, and Gwangjin
A large-scale garden show featuring 167 gardens across Seoul Forest and its surrounding areas.
