Korenix switches were introduced into tunnel projects in Europe. At 11.4 km in length, to ensure the highest level of safety and fast reaction in emergency situation, industrial grade switches is indispensable as the media to process the data. The administrator can take instant actions to prevent disaster once accident occur. After passing through the tunnel, drivers can pass through a number of other tunnels. Therefore, the ability of network expandability is consideration.
The main implementation is to install the JetNet 6828Gf Layer3 switch to establish the basic fiber network of the tunnel. Furthermore, connect terminal devices through JetNet 5310G and JetNet 5428G Layer2 switches in each area. The robust hardware design empowered the products to withstand the relatively humid, dusty and extreme temperature condition. Redundant protocol and dynamic data routing achieved high performance transmission.
