Let's say you are aiming for an organic strategy to promote your brand on Instagram. Whether you have a personal or a commercial brand, these tools are pretty much the same. The key to establishing yourself as a go-to solution provider is to offer as much value as possible to your community. This will result in skyrocketing sales.

So what can you do to sell more without investing in ads?

๐ŸŒŸ Educate your community about the niche that you are an expert in. If you are a coach, a beautician, an IT engineer, or a cook, share educational information. Let your audience feel that you truly know what you are talking about through your expertise, value, and tips. Don't forget to share value for your existing customers and offer after-sales support through your content. This will help you retain them and anticipate your future content.

๐ŸŒŸ When you share value, you start building credibility and authority. Your audience will listen to you and trust you, as your content will show that you are the master of the house. Show how you own it and practice what you preach.

๐ŸŒŸ People trust other people. Share testimonials from your clients on your Instagram stories and posts to evoke online word of mouth. When you receive positive feedback, don't be shy to share it with your audience. This will not make you look arrogant, but rather endorse purchases from new clients.

๐ŸŒŸ Inspire your community by sharing the journey that got you where you are, your ups and downs, your bitter and sweet moments, and your success and failures. Be real and stay true to your character. People love seeing the real you, so do not be tempted to polish your content and only show the positive side of yourself. PS: Motivational quotes by Gandhi and Tony Robbins are out of the question, we have Pinterest for that ๐Ÿ˜

Most importantly, have time for your social media development. Most often, we get so busy working on developing our clients that we forget about ourselves.

What is stopping you from transforming your skills into a brand and start promoting yourself on social media?

The easiest and most efficient and effective way to come up with your business model and strategy is to think like your customer.
Donโ€™t over-complicate your design, your communication, your website, and your social media presence. Just put yourself in your customerโ€™s shoes.
What would you like to see first when browsing a website? Product descriptions? Prices? Delivery details?
Let that be present.
When browsing an Instagram page with an intention to buy, what will be the key factor that will make you order the product?
Chances are, you already think like your customer because to other businesses, you already are a customer.
Trust your instincts because you already are spending time and money promoting other brands, whether intentionally or not.
And when in doubt, test.

When was the last time you bought something after seeing only 1 post?

As sellers, we tend to anticipate fast results from promotional campaigns. However, as marketers, we know that this is not always the case. Impulsive buyers are rare and we cannot rely on them to generate most of our sales.
This is why we have to warm up the audience.

Leads on the top of the sales funnel are usually cold. They need to be warmed up by increasing their awareness of the product by educating the audience on their pain point.

As they become warmer, we'd need to continue educating them on the solution and position ourselves as the solution provider to their needs and challenges.

Finally, the audience that is interested will keep on engaging and will consider you as their problem solver. This is where you'll have to share your offer and engage with them one-on-one to pitch your product/service.

Marketing is a process. Do not expect an instant conversion from your first post.

83% of leads buy after 7 emails.
Is it true? Of course not, but you believed it because you saw numbers.
We tend to trust numbers and quantitative data because it looks concrete and reliable.
Sometimes we donโ€™t even stress to find whether the provided data is true. We assume that it is correct because someone must have done their research.
So how can you use numerical data to build your credibility in the market?
๐ŸŒŸAsk your customers how did your product help them solve their problems in terms of quantifiable metrics (using the product helps us save 2 hours from our time)
๐ŸŒŸLeverage this data in your marketing message and integrate this information with your USP and communications
๐ŸŒŸUnderstand your customers well enough to know what are their pain points

Do you use numbers in your ad copy? How does it affect your conversion?

Do not use your personal, or any other personal page on Facebook to promote your business. Go to business.facebook.com and create your page from there. If you already have a page, you can also link it to your Facebook Business Manager account to create ads and benefit from business resources. More on that later

As simple as it sounds, most pages have incomplete information. Add your contact details, a catchy description about your business that clearly states who you are, what do you offer, who do you serve, and why should people buy from you.
Your profile photo should be a headshot if you have a personal brand or your company logo if you have one. Minimize text. Be consistent. Upload in a square size. Never use stock photos! Your cover photo should include a headline of your business. Optimize it for mobile and upload it in the correct size 851x315 px. Let your cover photo draw attention to your action button.

Set up a custom action button that you can use to allow your visitor to take action, such as follow a page, order food, book an appointment, get a quote, call you, contact you via your website, send a message on Messenger, or WhatsApp, send an email, learn more about your products on your website, download your app, or visit your e-shop.

Link your pages together to get a centralized view of your direct messages and create ads from Ads Manager on both platforms. Linking the pages helps cross-promote your business.

Post consistently, at least 3 times a week. Reply to every single comment and review, bad or good. Encourage people to review your business and reply to your direct messages. Don't forget to check your Spam folder frequently, sometimes good messages end up there.

Itโ€™s so amazing to see how many of you are on board for this amazing journey!
Last night, I posted 4 questions to understand how familiar are you with digital marketing, and Iโ€™m impressed! So, letโ€™s go through them in detail
---
Traditional and digital marketing are quite different. The digital era brought drastic changes to marketing practices.
---
Experience - Mass vs. Individual
When you are looking at traditional media, such as TV, radio, or billboards, your experience is in a group that receives the same stimuli.
In social media, email, and apps, the medium is shared, but the content is customized. People use the same platforms to consume content, but through technology, we see an infinite variation of content based on who is logged in.

Audience โ€“ Passive vs. Active
Marketers will create engaging ad formats on traditional media that appeal to passive audiences. When watching a TV ad, you cannot directly engage with it.
Digital marketing leads to more active media engagement because of the formats and channels. You can engage with content on social media. You should develop highly engaging content, encouraging consumers to share, comment, like, tweet, and click. Donโ€™tโ€™ forget CTAs.

Message - One-to-One vs. One-to-Many
In traditional marketing, the same message is given to many individuals at the same time. Personalizing your content using traditional marketing media is challenging.
In digital marketing, you can create multiple versions of the same message, and target users whose profiles fit your target audience. You can deliver personalized and relevant content for a specific individual.

Strategy โ€“ Outbound vs. Inbound: Think about that as push vs. pull strategies.
In traditional marketing, the push strategy begins with the brand showing ads to many, hoping that it will resonate with some. It is harder to track, itโ€™s not personalized, and itโ€™s more expensive.
In digital marketing, inbound strategy attracts interested consumers to your content, brand, and offer through cookie tracking, SEO, topics, blogs, and influencers. Inbound marketing helps brands resonate with a specific audience so they come to you
