As the Sun Appears from Beyond
Designed by –scope Ateliers, this bilingual publication opens from two sides (Arabic and English) bringing both languages into a shared center where artworks converge. Inspired by Al Noor (Divine Light), the book guides the reader through a quiet visual journey that echoes the exhibition’s meditative progression.
Published with the Aga Khan Museum and .books under the Al Burda Grant, the catalogue reflects twenty years of the Al Burda Award and its evolving dialogue between tradition and contemporary Islamic art.

Elevating Luxury: Mansam’s Artful Packaging
Conceived as a crafted object rather than a container, Mansam’s Eau de Parfum packaging brings design and making together. Developed by our design team and produced in our workshop, more than 30,000 leather boxes were handcrafted by an expanded team of artisans.
Alongside the fragrance case, additional packaging formats were created for bundles and in-store display, with durability and reuse embedded in the design.

Tala Hajjar. There Is No Urgency Here: A Study in Stillness
Unveiled at Paris Photo this November, Tala Hajjar’s limited-edition artist book There Is No Urgency Here invites viewers into a world where time loosens its grip and the quietest gestures take center stage. Composed of seven photographs accompanied by a poem by the artist and a foreword by Rabih Kayrouz, the work lingers in the spaces between moments; those pauses where stillness becomes its own form of narrative, and the ordinary reveals a subdued, contemplative beauty.
Handcrafted and produced in a limited edition of ten, the piece is housed in a box and booklet designed and fabricated by -scope Ateliers. Its tactile presence, intimate scale, and restrained elegance echo the book’s thematic core: slowness, attention, and the quiet poetry of the everyday. There Is No Urgency Here is not simply an art object but an invitation to pause, to look closer, and to inhabit time differently.

Atelier Ghattas: A Delicatessen Icon Reimagined for Today — and Tomorrow

With roots dating back to 1961, Ghattas has long been synonymous with excellence in smoked salmon. But its original identity and naming (Raymond Ghattas – saumon fumé) no longer reflected the quiet authority of a leading brand on the Beirut delicatessen scene. A new chapter was due, one that could both honor its heritage and position it for broader horizons.

-scope Ateliers reimagined the brand as Atelier Ghattas – 1961 –, grounding it in the language of savoir-faire and timeless quality. The visual identity is clean, restrained, and confident: from the refined wordmark and emblem to packaging that balances shelf elegance with practical clarity while signaling a high-end product. The result is a transformation that respects heritage while opening the door to regional expansion, wider recognition, and a stronger shelf presence across markets.

Beirut al-Marfa’: A City and Its Port
Curated by Hala Younes, Mona El Hallak, and Hadi Mroue, and produced by Hkeeli, Beirut al-Marfa’ reflects on the city’s enduring, complex bond with its harbor — a site of exchange, ambition, and collective memory. -scope Ateliers developed the exhibition’s visual identity, including the logo, typographic and color systems, and the design of the exhibition panels, with a particular focus on the two timelines: the history of the port from 1830 to 2020, and “The Battle of the Silos” from August 4, 2020 to today. These visual narratives transform archival and contemporary material into a layered reading of the city’s evolving relationship with its port: resilient, fractured, and continually reshaped by circumstance.

Set within Beit Beirut’s Urban Observatory, the exhibition unfolds through the lenses of Preserve, Repair, and Share. Through documents, models, installations, and speculative proposals, Beirut al-Marfa’ invites reflection on how rebuilding the port extends beyond infrastructure. It is an act of reconnection between Beirut and its sea, its history, and its future.

THE LAB by NAGGIAR
A space for material exploration and creative dialogue
naggiar stands at the crossroads of craftsmanship and innovation. Conceived as a “playground of possibilities,” it expands the company’s expertise in metalwork into a realm of experimentation and creative exchange. A space where materials are explored, ideas refined, and fabrication becomes a form of design inquiry.

-scope Ateliers was entrusted with defining The Lab as a distinct yet connected entity within Naggiar’s brand architecture, from strategic positioning and naming to the creation of its visual identity. The resulting system, built around bold geometric lettering and flexible layouts, captures the energy and precision of cutting, folding, and assembling metal. Its adaptable compositions reflect the curiosity and rigor at the heart of The Lab — where making, thinking, and testing converge in a shared pursuit of innovation.

Divas: From Oum Kalthoum to Dalida
A renewed dialogue between timeless icons and Beirut’s audiences

For its presentation at the Sursock Museum in Beirut, Divas: From Oum Kalthoum to Dalida was reimagined to resonate with the local audience’s emotional connection to these legendary figures. -scope Ateliers developed the exhibition’s visual communication—from posters and billboards to social media and printed materials—transforming the Institut du monde arabe’s original red velvet curtains into a horizontal red band that reveals a diva’s gaze while concealing the rest of her face, capturing the glamour and enduring allure embodied by the divas themselves.
Within the exhibition, -scope Ateliers reinterpreted the original scenographic graphics to harmonize with the Museum’s spatial layout, adapting wall texts, image arrangements, captions, and didactic elements. Set within a scenography thoughtfully adapted to the museum’s architecture, these graphics contribute to a fluid visual journey through the voices and legacies of these extraordinary women—an experience that bridges nostalgia and contemporaneity and celebrates the lasting influence of Arab cultural icons.
