صيام يوم عرفة من أعظم الأعمال المستحبة، وهو اليوم التاسع من شهر ذي الحجة. وقد ورد في فضله قول النبي ﷺ:
«صيام يوم عرفة أحتسب على الله أن يُكفِّر السنة التي قبله والسنة التي بعده»
رواه مسلم
