We are looking for an adaptable, pragmatic Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work across varied domains, moving quickly from raw visual datasets to robust, deployed models. If you enjoy rapid prototyping, practical engineering over academic theory, and seeing your solutions run in production, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Delivery: Design, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy computer vision models for detection, segmentation, tracking, and classification across distinct client industries.
• Rapid Baseline Prototyping: Benchmark open-source models, including modern YOLO variants, Vision Transformers, and OpenCV pipelines, to quickly establish proof-of-concept solutions for new datasets.
• Data Curation: Build pragmatic preprocessing, annotation, and augmentation pipelines to ensure strong model performance, even when training data is limited.
• Service Packaging: Containerise models using Docker and package them into lightweight REST/gRPC APIs for seamless integration with frontend and backend services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside our software engineers and project teams to translate real-world client requirements into working visual intelligence systems.
Key Requirements
• 2–3 years of commercial experience developing and deploying computer vision solutions.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and OpenCV.
• Demonstrated experience applying pre-trained architectures, transfer learning, and fine-tuning to custom visual datasets.
• Solid software engineering practices, including Git, clean and modular code, containerisation with Docker, and API development using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Proven adaptability and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar visual domains and deliver pragmatic engineering solutions.
Nice to Have
• Production Experience: Experience shipping and maintaining computer vision systems using real customer data in live environments.
• Runtime Optimisation: Experience with tools such as ONNX Runtime or TensorRT.
• Video Processing: Practical experience with video stream handling using RTSP, WebRTC, FFmpeg, or GStreamer.
• Cloud ML Deployment: Familiarity with cloud ML deployment platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
