We recently met with the Commissioner General of Elections, Mr. Rasika Peiris, and his team on behalf of our client TikTok to discuss strengthening election integrity online in Sri Lanka.
With misinformation and disinformation posing growing challenges during election periods, our conversations centered on practical, proactive measures to curb the spread of false narratives, enhance digital safety, and promote timely access to verified and authoritative information for voters.
Safeguarding the digital information ecosystem is a shared responsibility — and collaboration between platforms, institutions, and stakeholders is key to ensuring informed civic participation.
