New work: St Luke’s Medical Laboratory 🩺
World-class diagnostics. Invisible online. That was the brief.
St Luke’s had everything that should build trust — ISO-certified equipment, 500+ partner doctors, 24-hour report turnaround, 20+ collection centres across Ja-Ela, Kandana, Welisara, Ragama and Wattala. The science was world-class. The website didn’t say so. Patients couldn’t find pricing, couldn’t see home-collection coverage, and on Google the lab was invisible for the exact queries people were typing: “blood test near me,” “lipid profile Ja-Ela,” “home blood collection Wattala.”
So we rebuilt it from the ground up. 👇
🔹 A calm, clinical-grade UI that earns trust on the first scroll — equipment named and pictured, ratings sat next to real numbers, no empty “world-class” marketing language.
🔹 Information architecture mapped to how patients actually search — one page per test, one page per suburb, transparent symptom-led pricing.
🔹 A local-SEO foundation built in from day one — LocalBusiness + MedicalClinic structured data, clinician bylines, titles tuned for high-intent local search.
The result? A digital business card became an acquisition channel. The lab’s first ranked organic presence on Colombo-area medical search. A frictionless path from “I need a test” to “I’ve booked one.” And a foundation the team can extend into corporate screening and partner programmes — no rebuild required.
This is what happens when design, engineering and SEO are treated as one discipline, not three handoffs.
Healthcare design lives or dies on credibility. We aimed for a third register: clinical-grade, but human. Every pixel had a reason.
