"Working from Home" is no longer an adventitious phrase in our vocabulary; a big thank goes to Covid-19. Due to the prevailing pandemic situation, working from home have become the bridge among the employee and the employer, meeting both the Sanitization and the Productivity unless you find it colorless. Here we've got some valuable tips for you to manage your "working from home routine" effectively
- Maintain Regular Hours
Set a schedule and stick to it. Having a clear guideline about when to start work and call-it, directs to work-life balance. In special cases, when you need to adapt to someone else’s time zone, be sure to wrap up earlier than usual to prepare for it.
- Set Ground Rules
Create ground rules with whom share your space of work. Your other family members do need to have a clear understanding about Do’s and Don’t’s during your time as per your work from home schedule.
- Breaks
Have a clear idea on employer’s policies on breaks and take them accordingly. It’s significant to have breaks during your WFH routine. And most importantly when you are in a break, have it to the fullest and do not short-change yourself
- Fresh Air
Make sure you leave your workplace for 3-5 minutes. Since you’re requested to cut all your unnecessary travelling, at least you can have a walk in your garden and breathe some fresh air and feel some breeze
- Ask for What You Deserve
You can ask for what you deserve in the course of working from home (i.e. Keyboard, Mouse, Data charges for additional usage.) It will be easier if your company is prepared and accustomed to work from home routines and they might be maintaining budgets for such requirements. While, be reasonable in what you demand.
- A Dedicated Office Space
Most of you may not having a dedicated office space, unless you’re a regular worker from home. At least you can keep your office DOCs from letting them mix-up with your personal stuff in PC.
-Sick Leaves
Working from home doesn’t mean that you’re 100% free from sicknesses. If you work agreement allows you paid-sick leave, feel free to take them when necessary. But be professional to convey that you’re on sick leave and find a way to manage your work you’re supposed to complete on the particular day
