Building Sri Lanka is a web-based stop to fulfill all construction and engineering related needs and to meet consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, etc. The logo icon consists of an abstract Sri Lanka map in the center as a sky-rises along with two other buildings from both sides. A bird flies freely but not above Sri Lanka to demonstrate its mightiness as well as the eco-friendly practices. The logotype contains two different customized fonts. ‘Building’ in narrow bold font whereas ‘Sri Lanka’ is in short thin font to bring a divergence and gravity to the logo. Purple is often associated with nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Therefore, purple is used to represent the extravagance, creativity, wisdom, grandeur and devotion of the brand. Orange is associated with sunshine, enthusiasm and success. Therefore, orange depicts the opportunity, encouragement, determination, freedom and most importantly the balance of the logo.

Arrows that face each other in the middle of the logo demonstrate the combination of design and manufacturing industry. Hand written letters are selected to merge with arrows to enhance the design feel. The corporate colors of the orange and grey is used to demonstrate the combination of designing and manufacturing fields.

A glimpse into Jesgo sketchbook. The logo designing process is personal and may vary from one designer to another. And there is a series of sketches between the mind map and the selected concept however, they are not included here, since they are entirely different from the final outcome. The process takes days and weeks. So, we have a habit of making notes between the sketches to know what should be changed or why we rejected one option and moved on with another.

The text and images were rearranged according to the layout of the book for easy readability. The cover page indicates a collage of padlocks, staircases, gates, murals and etc. The red color square added liveness to the cover. The back cover is black with the details about the author.
