Our Losses

Today is the day when many hearts feel heavy. You know how it feels to lose someone you love?

Today many people are walking quietly to the graves of those who meant everything to them. Some are going to their mother’s grave. Some are going to their father’s grave. Some are visiting the resting place of a brother, a sister, a friend, or someone whose absence still hurts every day.

Flowers are placed on cold stones.
Hands gently touch names written on graves.
And tears fall while memories begin to speak louder than words.

This is the feeling behind my story, Our Losses.

Some children lost their mothers the very day they were born. And for that child, a quiet question may live in the heart for many years: What did my mother look like? Did she ever hold me? Did she know how much I would need her?
Some lost their fathers before they even had the chance to know them.
And for those who have lost both, the heart carries a double weight that feels deeper than the seas and oceans.

Loss can leave empty spaces in our lives that nothing else can fill.

Sometimes the tears we carry inside us feel deeper than the seas and oceans.

And the heart quietly asks a question many people have wondered:

When we feel the pain of losing them… do the dead also feel the loss of us?

The Bible reminds us that God sees every broken heart:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

And it gives us hope even in mourning:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

So today, as we remember those who are gone, let us also look around and see the people who are still with us. Hug your family, call your friends, and tell them you love them.
Be grateful for your life.
Cherish the people beside you.
And love your friends because the moments we have with them are the moments that make life worth living.

Something about life....

Why do we live,I asked Life,
when we already know that one
day we will die?
Life sat beside me, calm, unhurried.
You live, Life said,
not because life is long, but because it is given.
But it will end......
and that is why every moment matters.
I asked again,
Why do people struggle so much?
Life answered,
Because struggle shapes strength.
Without it, growth would be empty.
Why do some people have more than others?
Life sighed,
Because the world is unfair,
but kindness is how humans correct it.
Why Do We Eat and Still Get Hungry?
Why do we eat, I asked,
when we know hunger will return?
Life smiled.
Because eating is not only about survival, Life said.
It is about sharing, connection, and care.
Then why do we waste food? I asked.
Because some forget that tomorrow is not guaranteed,
Life replied.
Why Do We Love?
Why do we love, I asked,
when love can hurt us deeply?
Life looked at me closely.
Because love teaches courage, Life said.
It shows you how to give without control.
Why does love end sometimes?
Because some lessons do not need a lifetime,
Life answered.

THE ROAD STILL SPEAKS

We were born with dust on our feet
and prayer in our breath. The older want say, The road does not end where the eye stops......
So we walk......
We stumble.....
We rise.......
Life teaches us slowly
through hunger and harvest,
through tears and laughter,
through nights that test our faith
and mornings that restore it.
God writes lessons in waiting,
and wisdom in pain.
What bends us does not break us,
it shapes us.......For as the proverb says,
No matter how long the night, the day will surely come.
And when it comes,
we stand
not perfect
but prepared.
