Since its launch in 1989 with Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga,” M1 has been a cultural icon in Lithuania - introducing new music, shaping trends, and earning a loyal audience across generations. But as the ways people discover and engage with music continue to evolve, M1 faces a new challenge: how to remain relevant in a landscape where streaming platforms, social media, and shifting habits extend far beyond traditional radio.
The response began with a clear strategy by Synthesis Consulting Group to strengthen the identity of M1 and its sister stations - M-1 Dance and Radijo stotis M-1 Plius. This meant defining what unites them, where each one stands out, and how they can connect with listeners across all platforms. Programming was refined, social content was sharpened, and a unified voice was developed to carry the brand consistently into every space where listeners interact - on air, online, and in daily life.
The new design by andstudio brings this strategy to life. The refreshed logo reintroduces M1’s original symbol in a modern form, maintaining its iconic character while signaling movement and evolution. A custom typeface built from the “M” symbol creates a bold visual language, and vibrant color palettes reflect the station’s energy, optimism, and creative spirit. Together, these elements form an identity that feels fresh, confident, and unmistakably M1.
With a renewed look and a clear direction, M1 is embracing the future while staying true to its roots. The brand moves forward with creativity, positivity, and a deep connection to its audience - still first, as it was in 1989, and ready to lead across every platform where music lives.
Congrats to M1 and its sister stations M-1 Dance and Radijo stotis M-1 Plius, and big applause to And-studio and Synthesis Consulting Group teams behind this.
📻Special shoutout to Mykolas Saulytis for the typeface and Džiugas Širvys for the soundtrack.
