This time we pay homage to a traditional Lithuanian celebration that marks the longest night of the year – . It’s a long-lasting tradition that has some magic weaved to it – according to the legend, the one which finds the magical fern flower, which grows only during midsummer night, will receive unbelievable wealth and knowledge. So each year our ancestors would flood the woods, hoping for the lucky find. ☀️

This weekend our base in Vilnius is home to the Vilnius Pink Soup Festival, an annual celebration dedicated to Šaltibarščiai (traditional Lithuanian cold beetroot soup), marking the official start of the city's summer season! Yay!

The festival transforms the Lithuanian capital into a vibrant, pink-themed playground filled with food markets, carnivals, live music, and quirky competitions! So have a can on us (not that it is EVER served in cans – usually in a bowl with warm potatoes!) but cheers anyway!

As we launch PAN-PAN 3.0, our new digital home, Sakura “Cherry Blossom” season has arrived in Vilnius too.

Coincidence? Almost certainly.

But it’s a great excuse to talk about our website launch again, while celebrating a ritual the city returns to every spring.

Sakura season is so popular in Vilnius because it’s more than just blossom. It’s brief, beautiful, and rooted in the city’s links to Japan, which is exactly why it feels so special every year. Much like working with PAN-PAN 😊!
