You don't have to be Amazon to use upselling or cross-selling in your business offering.

This said Amazon accounts for 35% of its revenues from just that.

We see it every day on e-commerce web sites but also on e-education websites like Domestika who propose bundled learning packages based on your interests, and even on some creators' accounts here on Instagram like Vilma Nuñez

If you use cross-selling or upselling, I would love to read you in the comments. Share your business offer with us.

If you produce great content but don't tell your audience what the next step is to move forward with you ... nothing will happen.

How will they know to sign up for your masterclass, book a free discovery call, order your latest fashion creations, sign up for your coaching classes, order your holiday-themed baby onesies or check out your free downloadable dog trainers manual?

You need to make it clear to your audience what you want from them. Otherwise, the people you are talking to cannot guess the next action to take (even if they loved your content).

Content strategy is an amazing way to attract customers, however, like most things, needs a strong foundation in order to work the way you want it to work. It would be great if any random image, quote, blog post, video, or carousel drew people to our content, however, without a strategy, no one will really understand what your business is all about and will find it a bit chaotic to follow you.

In my latest blog article, I explore 5 aspects to consider for a successful content strategy that really attracts customers.

What is the simple difference between advertising and publicity?

Well, first off, I have a problem when people compare these two terms.

In all fairness, publicity is a term that people have a hard time defining and understanding.

Publicity can both be earned or paid.

Therefore comparing advertising to publicity does not make much sense.
It just confuses people.

The French totally get this.
In French, advertising and publicity are one and the same. Publicité.

English is not as straightforward as we thought.

Check out my latest blog article advertising v publicity if you want to get to the bottom of this.

What is the difference between advertising and publicity? Before deciding which one is best for you, we'll walk you through the basics.

It's not just about managing others. You'll need to manage yourself.

If you are a startup founder or entrepreneur with ambitious ideals of growth, how we cultivate a deep understanding of ourselves is just as important for our company's growth as the ideas and the funds behind it.

Peter Drucker, the ultimate guru and single most important thought leader of management science wrote about ‘purpose’ in the 1970s and invented the concept known as ‘management by objectives and self-control’. In his book, Managing Oneself, Drucker explains we all need to cultivate a deep understanding of ourselves.

Today I've really briefly outlined 5 points that Drucker used as a foundation for this.

Are these questions you have asked yourself ever?
Are you capable of answering all of these questions? just some?
Which ones?

Looking forward to reading you in the comments.

What is the most valuable asset in a StartUP?

You are. The team is.

Products can be good. Great even.
But without a kick-ass team and a compelling story investors will not be lining up at your doors.

But what happens when your StartUp does well?
Or if your StartUp just doesn't?

What about YOU?

If you want to ever start another StartUp, become an investor, make a name for yourself in the VC world, leverage your talents... you need to do Personal Branding.

Yes, personal branding. You need to showcase you.
I mean, if angel investors came across your profile on social media, that would be pretty awesome, right?

For recruiting purposes, for investment purposes, for selling purposes, getting your face out there, your personal branding up and running can only bring you leverage.

That is unless you blow it by being totally irrelevant which has been done.

How many of you startup founders are actually doing this?

This stuff is getting real.

What are your thoughts?

By the way, I am starting a live series end of October with real entrepreneurs on IG. I have two slots lined up and am looking for some more. Interested? Know someone who is?

Not all your clients will be happy with you, your services, your products.....

Sometimes it doesn't even have to do with you.

Or it could have everything to do with you.

But in the end, what are you going to do?

You can sit back and complain about that annoying client.

Or you can learn from the experience.

Everything that happens along the way is an opportunity to learn.
Both the good and the bad.

Use that knowledge to avoid similar situations.
Use those complaints to get better at what you do.
Use that experience to see what clients you really want to be working with.

But learn something. Don't just find excuses.

Tag someone who needs to hear this.
Tell me what you think.

You don't need a mirror to see who you are.

Everyone is our mirror.

What we see in others we see in ourselves.

As entrepreneurs we have to be conscious that our success depends on what we see when we look at ourselves.

But to know what we see we first need to look.

Therein lies the problem.

Looking takes time and most entrepreneurs don't have the time.

Do we not have the time or do we not want to take the time?

Bigger question.

What do you say about this?
Do you take time to think about who you are and where you want to be?
Do you work on making yourself a better version of who you are today, for tomorrow?

People are NOT convinced easily.

Simon Sinek, well known Ted Talk speaker and author of the classic " Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action', introduced the concept of the Golden Circle.

Sinek's Golden Circle attempts to convey why some people and organizations are particularly inspirational (ie. Apple) and differentiate themselves successfully.

The neuroscience behind the Golden Circle idea is that humans respond best when messages communicate with those parts of their brain that control emotions, behaviour and decision-making.

Story telling is the new content marketing. We tell stories to connect with people.
Why don' t you start in your own way with your WHY and tell us a story?

I am excited to read the comments and learn more about WHY you do what you do!
