The Baltic Fashion Federation was established in 1999 as a non-profit organisation. The aim of our activity is to develop fashion industry on the local market as well as to promote the Baltic fashion abroad. The Baltic Fashion Federation is undertaking the work of promotion, marketing assistance and supplying information. It promotes trade, industrial and technical co-operation and provides economic information in the Baltic States – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The Baltic Fashion Federation also regularly organizes the events:
- Riga Fashion Week
- Latvian Style and Fashion Awards ceremony
- Student Fashion Festival
- numerous workshops
Riga Fashion Week (RFW) takes place in Riga, the capital of Latvia, twice per year – end of March and end of October – presenting the prêt-a-porter collections of the best fashion designers from the Baltic and European countries. Launched in October 2004 Riga Fashion Week over 5 past years became an internationally well-known fashion week recognized by such world famous fashion media as Style.com, L`Officiel, Fashion Daily News, Book Moda, Fashion Collection, Mood, Journal du Textile, Collezioni, Fashion TV and others.
