If you’re a founder like me, wearing all the hats… planning isn’t optional, it’s survival.

Between client work, content, marketing, and actually running the business…

It’s no wonder most of us end up winging it week to week.

But here’s what’s changed the game for me:
Creating AI-Ready Brand Guidelines means I can plan once and then automate parts of my marketing, content, and emails - all while knowing everything stays on-brand.

It’s saving me hours every week and a lot of unnecessary stress.

No big agency. No hiring team members.

Just systems, clarity, and brand consistency that actually works.

If you want to make Q4 smoother, smarter, and more consistent, I’ve got 2 calls open this week and next (15–20 mins) to see if it’s a good fit for your brand.

DM me or hit the link in comments to book in.

If your AI outputs sound like elevator music, flat, forgettable, and a bit beige…

It’s not the tech, it’s the lack of training.

Give it context, give it direction, and watch it sing.

Want to see how?

Book a no-pressure, 15 min call and find out how AI-Ready Brand Guidelines can supercharge your content in Q4.

(PS. Yes, I am wearing a t-shirt with a brand and logo I designed recently - check out for amazing coffee and great merch)

You’re too late... I’m fully booked for October.

I’m super grateful (and slightly caffeinated), but it means I won’t be starting any new branding work until early November.

All client slots are taken but I can still fit in 2–3 calls a week to chat with business owners who:
• Want to refresh or rebrand before the end of the year
• Or want to make sure their brand is AI-ready for 2026

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines for a while or you’ve been waiting for things to ‘quieten down’, this is the best time to chat. No pressure, just clarity on how to make your brand stand out and perform better before the year ends. Takes just 15-30 mins to identify your challenges, the opportunities and see if we’re a good fit to work together. Or maybe you just want to know more about how your brand and business can use AI to save you hours every week while making sure every output is absolutely ‘on-brand’ instead of boring and bland. I might even share some amazing new AI tools with you too.

I’ve also got room for 1–2 strategy sessions (45–60 mins) this month if you’d like get a head start on November and book your space for a brand / rebranding project.

Comment “Interested” or drop me a message and I’ll send you the link to book a call.

Back in the late 90s, when CD players started replacing vinyl decks, the “real DJs” weren’t impressed.

Some took shortcuts, pre-recorded sets, hitting the sync button, making everything sound a bit too “perfect.”

But the best DJs? They learned how to use the new tools properly. They carried hundreds of tracks in a CD wallet (instead of breaking their back with crates of vinyl) and still brought the energy, connection, and craft to every set.

That’s exactly how I see AI today.

Used the wrong way, it feels bland, robotic, and inauthentic.

Used the right way, it saves time, makes or saves you money and helps you connect with your audience while staying true to your brand’s mission and purpose.

And that’s where my new AI Ready Brand Guidelines offer comes in.

They make sure your AI outputs sound more like Carl Cox in Ibiza… and less like a bedroom DJ pressing sync.

If you want to use AI to create content that’s on-brand, authentic, and effective, drop me a message and I’ll show you how these guidelines work.

PS. For those that didn’t know I DJ’d all over Scotland through the 90s and up till about 10 years ago, this is one of the very few photos I have from about 2009 featuring my favourite Casio watch!

Not ready for a full rebrand? Cool...
But you can still stop using fonts no one can read.

Let’s be honest, script-style fonts might look fancy on your laptop, and your competitors are using them but on a phone?

Totally unreadable.

And if your clients can’t read your name at a glance, they’re not going to remember you, let alone trust you.

Here’s a quick fix:
→ Use clean, modern fonts that are clear on every screen.
→ Mix two styles only if they contrast, like a bold sans serif with a light serif — not two that look nearly the same.

You don’t need to invest £££ in a full rebrand yet… but you can stop your brand looking like it’s stuck in 2012.

Follow along this week for more no-budget busting branding tips that’ll make your business look sharper fast.

P.S. - I love graffiti, always have. It’s actually one of the things that got me into design in the first place. But what works on a warehouse wall doesn’t always work on a logo.

Legibility matters, especially when your brand needs to make an impression fast.

PPS. I have space for 3 or 4 ‘fit calls’ to have a no obligation chat to see what challenges you’re facing, if I can help and to see if we’d be a good fit to work together.

Drop me a message if you’d like to book one

Brands Have Kerb Appeal Too

We all know what puts buyers off a house before they even step inside, the same is true for brands.

You wouldn’t try to sell a £750k home with weeds in the driveway.

So why try to sell a premium service with a DIY logo?

Buyers don’t always know why something feels off they just know they don’t trust it.

Bland colours, clip art visuals, mismatched fonts... It’s the branding version of rotting window frames.

If you want people to step inside your business, your branding needs kerb appeal too.

Want to know how your brand’s kerb appeal stacks up?

There are thousands of businesses doing what you do.
Very few are remembered.

Property. Interiors. Construction. Renovation. Design.

It’s a busy space and most branding in it looks… well, the same.
Muted colours. Script fonts. Clip-art logos with a house or roof.

The same words.
The same look.
The same vibe.

And here’s the problem:

If you look like everyone else, you’re making it harder for people to choose you.
Because clients don’t just want a builder, designer or estate agent.

They want the right one.
The one that feels different.
Speaks to them.
Is more premium.

Your brand should make the decision easy.

Not blur you into a sea of similar names and forgettable visuals.

Success leaves clues and a forgettable brands usually isn’t one of them.

You wouldn’t fit a £40k kitchen with £2 handles.

So why show up with a brand that doesn’t match the quality of your work?

If you’re in property, construction or design you know your work speaks for itself.

But here’s the thing: most people don’t get to experience your work firsthand.

What they do see is:
Your logo.
Your website.
Your Instagram feed.
Your van parked on the street.

And if it looks DIY, rushed, or outdated… that’s the impression they’ll carry.

Even if your projects are top-tier.
Even if your service is flawless.
Even if your diary is already full.

Your brand is a visual handshake.
It either builds confidence or raises doubts.

Because premium clients don’t want to ‘hope’ you’re good.
They want to know it.

If your brand doesn’t reflect the quality you’re known for, it could be time to level it up.

Drop ‘interested’ below and I’ll send you a link to grab a free brand audit - a quick review to see how your visuals measures up.

Success Leaves Clues – Look at the Brands You Admire

If you’re in the business of shaping spaces - building homes, designing interiors, renovating kitchens, selling properties, take a minute to look at the brands you admire in your space.

* The ones with a waitlist.
* The ones working on the dream projects.
* The ones pulling in high-ticket clients with ease.

Now look at their branding.

Is it clean, confident, and considered?

Does it speak directly to the kind of clients they want to attract, the ones who care about quality, lifestyle, and image?

You better believe it does.

Because in the Homes & Habitats market, the best brands don’t just happen, they are built.

Deliberately. Thoughtfully. Strategically. Visually.

If your work is top quality, but your brand looks like an afterthought…

…you could be making it harder than it needs to be.

Success leaves clues.
Your brand should be one of them.

Not sure how yours stacks up?

Some brands are like elevator music.
Polite. Inoffensive. Forgettable.

Sits quietly in the background while no one really listens.

And just like elevator music… they’re instantly forgettable.

Safe isn’t always smart.

Because if your brand blends in, so do your offers, your voice, your entire business.

No buzz. No edge. No chance to lead.

Your brand should grab attention.

Make people feel something.

Stick in their head like that one song they can’t stop humming.

Think less elevator music and more mariachi band.
• Bold.
• Confident.
• Full energy.
• Real personality.
• Impossible to ignore.

Wondering which one your brand sounds like?

DM me “AUDIT” and I’ll send you my free tool to help you find out and what to do next if your brand’s been playing it too safe.
