Over four days, participants from across the Mediterranean 🌍 worked in multinational teams 🤝 to design and prototype tools addressing digital harm 💻⚠️.

Our team presented Kindness Filter 💙, a browser companion that analyses text in real time ⏱️, identifies harmful language 🚫🗣️, and proposes safer alternatives before a message is published ✍️.

We extend our sincere thanks 🙏 to the organisers, mentors, and the Città di Paola 🇮🇹 for their hospitality, and to all participants for four days of rigorous and collaborative work 🚀🤝.

As part of the MY STORY Project – Storytelling to Combat Gender-Based Inequalities in European and MEDA Countries, Euro-Med EVE Maroc organized Focus Group 6 on 21 June 2026 at Syllabus Coworking Space, Marrakech.

This session focused on Media Representation and Gender Stereotypes, bringing together young people from different areas of the Marrakech region, including nearby villages.

Participants discussed how women and girls are represented in media, social media, family discourse, and community narratives. The discussion highlighted how stereotypes can affect girls’ education, employment, sport, leadership, mobility, and public participation.

Through open dialogue and storytelling, participants emphasized the importance of promoting positive stories of women and girls, challenging stereotypes, encouraging respectful media representation, and involving both young women and young men in building a more equal society.

MY STORY continues to give young people a voice and to use storytelling as a powerful tool for awareness, inclusion, and change.

On 18 June, in Paola, Italy, people from different countries came together with one shared ambition: turning ideas into meaningful digital solutions.

The International Final of **“Together for the Future”**, developed within the Erasmus+ project ****, brought together six countries to reflect on how artificial intelligence can contribute to fighting hate speech and creating safer, more inclusive and more responsible online spaces.

Throughout the hackathon, each team presented original, thoughtful and creative solutions, showing a strong ability to combine technology, social awareness and innovation. The quality of the projects made the jury’s decision especially challenging.

The final ranking:

🥇 Tunisia
🥈 Morocco
🥉 Italy

But beyond the results, the most valuable part of this experience was the collaboration between young participants, professionals, mentors and experts, all working together across cultures, disciplines and perspectives around a common challenge.

Many thanks to all the participants, international partners, mentors and jury members for their energy, commitment and contribution.

A special thank you to the Municipal Administration of Paola for its warm welcome and support, and for hosting an international event that created a real bridge between Mediterranean countries.

Six countries. One common purpose. Creativity transformed into action.

Together for the Future. Where innovation meets impact.

✨ MY STORY Project – Third Focus Group ✨
📍 Career Center, Cadi Ayyad University – Marrakech

As part of the MY STORY project, Euro-Med EVE Maroc organized the third focus group with young participants from Marrakech and surrounding areas, including students from rural backgrounds.

This session was divided into two parallel discussions focusing on key issues affecting girls and young women in Morocco:

🎓 Education & Employment
Participants discussed the importance of education as a tool for empowerment, while highlighting barriers such as financial difficulties, distance from schools and universities, transport challenges, family pressure, lack of information, and limited access to career guidance.

⚽ Sport & Physical Activity
The second discussion focused on the role of sport in building confidence, health, leadership, teamwork, and social inclusion. Participants also identified challenges such as lack of safe spaces, social judgment, limited family encouragement, transport difficulties, and weak visibility of women and girls in sport.

Through open dialogue and participatory group work, young people shared their experiences, identified community challenges, and proposed practical recommendations, including more awareness sessions, mentorship opportunities, safe and inclusive spaces, better access to sport, and stronger support for young women’s education and professional development.

These discussions will contribute to the MY STORY national research findings and future awareness-raising activities promoting gender equality, youth participation, and storytelling as a tool for change.
