Not everything I design lives online ✷

Alongside social media management, I still love working on thoughtful one-off design projects too, whether that’s menus, invitations, itineraries, event details, marketing materials or the smaller details that help bring an idea together.

Sometimes it’s those little details that make something feel considered, consistent and true to its personality.

Those of you who have followed me for a long time might remember ‘Savvy’s Eye’ or ‘Savannahmy Photography’ 📸

Before design and social media, photography was where everything started for me. I always loved photographing different cultures, little details, textures and surfaces, the kind of things other people might walk straight past.

I recently took a trip to Morocco and for the first time in years, I felt that photography itch again. The kind where you walk past something and have to go back because it bothers you not to photograph it 🤭

Marrakesh felt endlessly inspiring and reminded me just how much I love seeing beauty in the details, which I guess is exactly why it all started as ‘Savvy’s Eye’.

Whilst photography mostly finds its place in my work through social media content these days, this trip reminded me that the passion for it is still very much still there ✨

I work with businesses & individuals to create thoughtful, consistent and visually considered design from social media content and ongoing management to one-off projects like menus, itineraries, event branding and wider marketing design and proofreading.

Whether it’s building a social presence from the ground up or creating standalone design work, I focus on making everything feel aligned, intentional and true to its purpose.

This isn’t everything I’m limited to, if there’s something you need help with and you’re unsure whether it falls under what I do, feel free to reach out and I’ll see if it’s something I can support with!

Some things never really change… 🌊🐚🩵

I took this photo back in 2014, just as someone who’s always loved the sea and the different tones of blue against the white of the waves.

A couple of years later, when I was creating my personal branding for a uni project, I found myself pulling colours straight from photos like this. Those tones have always felt like me.

Now nearly 10 years on, I’m no longer just dreaming about the sea, I spend most of my time by it. Whether I’m working remotely, exploring new places or even working with clients whose world is on the water, I always seem to end up near it.

One of the first clients that shaped my work in social media 📸✨

I started with in-house content creation, capturing food, atmosphere and the details of the space, which naturally developed into managing their full social media presence.

Working with this client taught me the importance of brand voice, not every social page needs bold design, but consistency, tone and subtle storytelling. A strong brand becomes recognisable even through captions alone, not just visuals.

I enjoyed combining my photography background with my growing understanding of social strategy to shape how the brand was seen online. I still work with them today, now remotely, focusing more on content direction, and of course I still can’t resist a brunch or lunch visit whenever I’m back in the uk! 🤭

Here’s a little look at how I got here…

It all started with photography, as soon as I got my first camera phone I found my passion and was always told I had 'the eye', hence my first online presence being Savvy’s Eye. That then led into studying photography at school & college, before I decided to take a bit of a leap and move to Spain to study graphic design.

While I was at uni, I started Savannah Katarina Design, working with small businesses on logos and what I thought at the time was 'branding' (basically making things look nice 😅). I then moved to London to complete my masters, which if I’m honest made me take a bit of a step back from the creative side for a while...

A few years later, things picked back up again when I was asked to help with content creation at my job, which naturally turned into marketing design, proofreading menus (after constantly pointing out mistakes 😬) and eventually running the social media, leading me to where I am today.

I’ve always known I wanted a career that allowed me to work and travel at the same time and I’ve never been one for the conventional 9–5. Social media was never part of the plan but everything I’ve learned along the way has naturally led me here, combining photography, design, marketing and social media while working remotely from wherever I may be!

What my desk looks like as someone who makes lists about lists 📝

My office looks a bit different these days, in fact, it’s constantly changing. What was once a dream to work and travel simultaneously has now become my reality.

I started Savannah Katarina Design at the beginning of my graphic design journey, slowly building it up over time, gaining new skills, new clients and plenty of experience along the way.

Now in 2026 things look very different (more on that another time), but I’m doing what I always set out to do!

Hi, I’m Savannah! 👋🏼
Some of you might remember me as Photography Savannah or Logo Designer Savannah, but things have changed around here. I now combine all of the above, plus more, and have naturally progressed into Creative Design & Social Media Manager Savannah! ✨

I help businesses bring their brand to life online, from how their visuals look, to the content they post and how it all fits together. I also take care of the behind the scenes details that make a difference, from proofing and editing to designing posts and marketing materials.

I’m now based in Gibraltar, but don’t come looking for me… I’m probably in another country, working remotely and helping brands shine locally and internationally 🛩️
