I’ve listened to the Logo Geek podcast ever since it started back in 2018. I’ve loved it ever since because it has interviews with some of my favorite logo designers ever.

Never in my life would I think that one day I would get to be amongst those who are being interviewed there, but life has a way of giving back after you have put in the hard work and dedication.

Janie is a software for managing bookings and clients for Dental Practices.

The logotype needed to feel feminine, genuinely pleasant and helpful.

These are the three logotype proposals I presented, I actually had more directions but these are the best.

It was a really fun project to work on as I got to explore many ideas that the client loved. After working on these I feel like I am closer to my 2026 goal of getting better at lettering and logotypes. Not an easy task, but very rewarding.

I believe in exploring and searching ideas initially as much as I can, that’s why sketching phase is a crucial step. This helps in finding great ideas and selecting a final one along with the client.

But then there are many ideas that don’t get chosen, so should you leave them on the shelves or give them a new life and share them online.

I prefer the second option.

Here are all of the explorations for the app icon of a language learning app.

The most common motif here is the one related to speaking, communication, the social part of learning a language.

All of them are unused and available for sale.

Logo Exploration for a language learning app.

I thought about giving the brand a mascot so it made sense to try and include it in the actual logo/icon of the app, for better recognition.

I ended up combining a speaking bubble with a cute little alien monster given the idea of an unknown and new foreign language that needs to be learned from scratch.

The mascot will also act as the assistant within the app, powered by AI.
