Our team is looking for an Associate Account Manager, for our Brand and Creative Communications team at ERA Myanmar, Yangon office. As the main point of contact for your team clients, you specialize in client relationships, knowing what clients love and representing ERA Myanmar professionally through quality work and great project management.

The day-to-day
- Own the day-to-day relationship with clients, external agency partners and our cross-functional agency teams (creative, insights, etc.).
- Leverage project management skills to manage multiple communications and marketing projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, from creative briefs to implementation and delivery.
- Be a cheerleader for your team: work to facilitate a strong and cohesive team, allocating tasks and resources, guiding and coaching when needed.
Your key responsibilities
- Maintaining and growing existing account relationships. Within an assigned portfolio, you will be using your excellent communication skills, strong follow-up and sharp attention to detail, to understand clients’ objectives and key result measures to enhance your existing relationships.
- You will strengthen rapport with clients on a daily basis for project management, helping relay the needs to the necessary team members. Will also keep clients updated with weekly/ monthly reports and update and build a strong relationship with client (remembering special dates, go for lunch, etc.).
- Providing counsel and professional advice, according to acceptable standards of the profession and ERA. As an Associate Account Manager, you will have a deep understanding of the client relationship management sector, IMC concepts and providing counsel and planning as per the client’s objective/ brief.
- Developing and implementing integrated communications strategies. You will manage day-to-day client activities, including research, planning, implementation and evaluation of integrated communication activities, paying special attention to budgets, resources, deadlines and client records. You are able to provide clean, intelligent, on-time reports of client activities and coordinate internally within ERA’s Team (creative, insights, etc.).
- Supporting and Account Management: Support Account Director/ Senior Account Manager and Accounts. Works closely with your teams and creative teams to develop creative solutions. Maintain ongoing relationships with internal client contacts to assist through the development and ex*****on of creative campaigns.
- Managing teams and mentoring. You will lead your team by example and walk the talk from the front. You’ll give proactive positive and constructive feedback, and you will actively seek it from your team too. You’ll enable and empower your team to take on more responsibility across the account (depending on ability) and you will provide one-on-one mentoring and training where needed.
- Quality control, reviewing and approving accuracy and quality of materials. You will have a high level of attention to detail and check all materials before sending to client, making sure (reports, plans, press releases, content calendars, etc.) that they are well formatted, analytical and professional. You will revise and ensure key messaging of all materials, and make sure team’s work meets clients’ expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- A professional background in public relations, marketing or communications. Agency experience, particularly with consumer brands, is a plus.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Burmese, with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, team player in multi-cultural environments
- Precise, structured and independent work ethics. Well-organized team member with the ability to perform various tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines
- Proactive, with strategic thinking and strong supervisory skills.
- Financial aptitude to develop and manage project budgets.
- Committed to excellence and your own personal growth; continuing to expand your skillset and seeking ongoing feedback.
Overall, this is an office-based role, but occasional travel might be required for client visits, new business presentations, planning and brief taking. Although the role will be during standard office hours, deadlines or the demands of a client may sometimes require working early or late to ensure continued success.
