For many people in Myanmar, laphet has long been part of everyday life, celebrations, traditions, and the moments we spend with others.

In a recent episode of Amhattaya, we were honoured to feature Ma Yunn Poe Ou, CEO of Ahlu Ama Organic Products အလှူ့အမ, who shares her journey of championing Myanmar tea culture while introducing laphet to international audiences. The conversation explores not only the journey from tea cultivation to production, but also why preserving authenticity, cultural knowledge, and local traditions matters for future generations.

"Hands in the air, step away from your stations!" 👨‍🍳🔥

For this month’s team activity, we had a Chilli Agency MasterChef showdown! Teams took on the challenge of cooking dishes from different Asian cuisines, with cash prizes up for grabs. Team India took home the Chilli Agency MasterChef title with their Chicken Tikka Masala, followed by Team Malaysia in second place with their Nasi Lemak.

While the activity was a lot of fun and brought out the creativity in the team, cooking competitions really are as stressful as they look on TV. Thankfully for the judges, quite a few people on our team can actually cook, and the food turned out to be pretty good too!

For our May team activity, we slowed things down with a yoga session focusing on flexibility, range of motion, and stress relief. This is our second year doing yoga as a team, and it has become a nice reminder to make space for wellness in between busy days. A big thank you to Teacher Angela from Hola Studio for guiding the session and helping us unwind and feel more limber. Until the next stretch!

"Go and try to accomplish something hard. Succeed or fail, you will be better."

45 days ago, Team Chilli decided to step out of our comfort zone and sign up for the KBZ Community 10-Mile Run. With just a few weeks to prepare, and with none of us having taken on a 10-mile marathon distance before, we committed to the goal together.

It was our camaraderie, team spirit, and the coconut seller at Thuwunna Stadium that kept us moving forward through the training sessions. And on race day, crossing the finish line was about proving to ourselves that we can take on something tough and see it through as a team.

Well done to all participants and Team Chilli, for the achievement and for building character to overcome the challenge!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌶
