It isn't every day that a social media post we prep for a client is a little emotional.

Most days it's largely business as usual, part of the content drumbeat - promotional post, informational post, team member focus, event, service line info, announcement.

This one is an announcement, true, but a pretty big one with some pretty hefty emotions behind it.

We've been working with Edward and Elizabeth at Sammut Specialists Advanced Dental Clinic for the past 7 years.

Now, we will continue working with them, as Sammut Specialists becomes something else, newer, and bigger.

Onwards and upwards! 🙏🏼 🦷 ❤️

Today is our last day in Valletta.

Over seventy years of dentistry within these walls. Countless smiles restored, generations of patients cared for, and a practice built on trust, skill, and dedication.

We leave with enormous gratitude — to this building, to Valletta, to every team member, and above all to every patient who has walked through this door.

The next chapter begins on 18th June at Dental Hub, Triq Bellavista, San Ġwann.

We cannot wait to welcome you.

The brief lands. The team reads it — actually reads it, not skims it while on a call about something else.

Then the work starts.

No hand-offs. No junior account manager between you and the people doing the work. No 'I'll check with the team and get back to you' followed by three days of silence.

The same people on your brief are the ones writing, designing, and delivering.

That's not a selling point. It's just how this should work.

"I feel like a small fish in a big pond.""

It's one of the more common things we hear from prospective clients who are thinking about switching agencies.

And, it's usually accurate.

Big agencies come with big rosters.

If you're not one of their top-billing clients, you tend to get the junior team, the slower turnaround, and the invoice that doesn't quite reflect the attention level you're receiving.

That's not a flaw in the agency model as such.

It's just the reality of how those businesses are structured. The best talent, the fastest responses, and the real experienced, strategic thinking, they all go to the biggest accounts.

If that's not your account, you know it.

We work differently.

Senior-led. Small team. No (or a very small) buffer between you and the people actually doing the work. Your account gets the same attention in month eighteen as it does in month one.

If you've ever felt like a number, it might not be the agency — it might just be the wrong fit.

iGaming is a crowded space. Standing out in it takes more than good tech — it takes words that can keep up.

Kau Inc. is an independent powerhouse across multiple iGaming verticals: Fireball™, a next-generation Remote Games Server; Mount Olympus, a high-performance game development studio; and Socino, a globally accessible social casino platform. Headed by industry veteran Kasper Kau, they don't just operate in iGaming — they're rewriting how it works.

Their ask to us: communicate the complexity, technical brilliance, and originality of their products — but clearly, convincingly, and with character.

We dove deep into their platforms, workflows, and values and came out the other side with copy that's as precise as their technology and as sharp as their game design. Landing pages, product overviews, brand manifestos, game development workflows — content that respects the intelligence of the reader, and makes the complicated accessible.

In describing Fireball™ and walking operators through Socino model, we've helped Kau Inc. find a voice that matches the vision.

I went self-employed at 22 — no rent, no mortgage, no kids, a car that cost LM 600.

Brave? Maybe. Stupid? Also maybe.

I spent five or six months building up freelance income on the side until I'd matched my salary. Then I jumped. No contracts, because I was 22 and thought I knew everything.

The work was there though. And that was enough.

Timing your exit matters more than most people talk about. Not everyone has the same conditions I had — but waiting until you can see where you're landing is always worth it.

The secret to a great 90-second video?

Everything that happens before you press record.

Storyboard. Script. Questions prepared three ways so if the interviewee freezes, you have a second angle and a third. Lighting checked. Extractor fan off. Air conditioning timed. Phones on DND.

The actual shoot is the easy part.

Prep well. Film once. Cut the result into six things.

That's how content should work.

"Mark and his team created a website that met and exceeded my expectations with very little effort from my end. They also create what to me are perfect logos, stationery, and corporate image. They understood what I was looking for without needing too much explanation and guided me through the process in a fun and easy way."

— Clint Bennetti, Founder, Bennetti Consulting

"Very little effort from my end."

That's not an accident. That's how a project should feel when the people running it actually know (and care) about what they're doing.

The number of brands we've seen post consistently for two months, get a little traction, then stop because "we got busy."

And then start again three months later with a "we're back!" post that nobody asked for.

Consistency is not optional.

It is, in fact, the only thing that separates brands that build a following from brands that are perpetually starting over.

A social media retainer isn't a luxury. It's the thing that makes sure the work you do in January still means something in October.

We can't say who this client is, but we can reveal that they were very happy indeed with the content we wrote for them, and it only took them a few minutes to let us know, not 14 working days and 25 rounds of edits by 7 stakeholders.

That's just how we like it.

I talked about my failures on stage this week.

Three businesses, three ways I screwed up.

It was fun, and honestly, a little liberating.

Because we all fail. Every single one of us.

It's not the failure that counts — it's what you do with it.

And if you need a reminder that even geniuses get it wrong, here's an example that I gave in my intro: the engineers at Mercedes built the CLR, a car with aerodynamic instabilities so severe it kept taking flight along Le Mans' high-speed straights.

They built a wing, not a car.

If Mercedes can screw up, so can you. You'll be fine.

Setbacks. Pivots. Lessons. 🔥

That's what "When Things Go Wrong | Three Founders. Three Failures." was all about — and it was exactly the kind of conversation the entrepreneurial community needs more of.

Thank you to our incredible panellists Keith Azzopardi, Stephanie Bonello & Mark Debono, and to our moderator Helen Chorley for keeping the energy just right. 💬

Proud to have made this happen alongside SHE: Social Hub Entrepreneurs & DiHubMT.

Remember: every stumble is just the story before the breakthrough. 💪
