β±οΈ Malta is small enough to drive across in 40 minutes. So why does the average commuter spend 59 minutes a day just getting to and from work?
We asked 472 people how traffic is changing life in Malta. Here's Part II.
π You can cross the whole island in 40 minutes, yet the daily commute eats up almost an hour.
π For over 1/3 of residents (36.7%), the commute exceeds 30 minutes each way.
π Only 18% use public transport weekly or more and nearly half of those who do rate the service as poor.
π‘ So what's the fix? 66% want better public transport, 63% support remote working, and 50% back mass transit systems.
π©βπ» Among 25β34 year olds, support for remote work jumps to 78%.
The frustration is real but so is the appetite for change.
