As a Web Developer at Digital Marketing Malawi you will focus on front-end user experience development. You will work closely with the digital marketing team on all aspects of web development to create pixel-perfect websites that represents world-class platforms.

Do you thrive on the challenge of revitalizing brands through your ability to develop, deploy and support cutting-edge websites?
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new, modern and compliant websites from scratch.
Maintain and update existing websites
Own various design tasks involved in the web development life cycle from start to finish
Producing sample sites
Meeting with clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress
Demonstrating and receiving feedback about draft sites
Keeping up to date with recent technological and software developments
Creating products that are user-friendly, effective, and appealing

Basic Requirements

Own PC.
3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in ecommerce development is advantageous.
Solid understanding of HTML/ CSS, PHP, JavaScript.
Solid experience with WordPress theming and plugins - able to code in Javascript and PHP within WordPress.
UI experience will be advantageous.
Basic understanding of SEO and the implementation thereof.
Experience in other web frameworks will be advantageous.
