*MAXIMUM EFFORT AND STRIVE*
✓Do your best encourages you to put forth your maximum effort and strive for excellence in whatever task you are undertaking.
✓Do your best encourages you to commit fully to your tasks, embrace your personal journey, and focus on effort and growth rather than just results.
✓It implies several key ideas as follows;
1. *Effort Over Outcome;* the focus is on the effort you put in rather than soley on the end results. It's about trying your hardest, regardless of whether you achieve the desired outcome.
2. *Personal Standards;* It suggests that you should work according to your own abilities and standards. Everyone's "BEST" looks different, and it's important to recognize your unique potential.
3. *Growth Mindset;* It promotes a growth mindset, emphasizing that improvement comes from effort and learning rather than innate talent. Doing your best means being willing to learn from experience, whether they're success or failures.
4. *Resilience;* The phrase encourages resilience and perseverance. It acknowledges that challenges will arise, but doing your best means pushing through difficulties.
5. *Self-compassion;* It invites self-compassion, reminding you that it's okay to be perfect. What matters is that you gave it your all.

*DO NOT TRY TO DO BETTER THAN YOUR BEST*
✓Do not try to do better than your best. Pushing yourself too hard can cause pain, injury and mistakes even fatal mistakes.
✓More subtle still is the recognition that your BEST will vary from moment to moment, that is a sense, you are always doing your best. Realize this and your inner judge can take a permanent vacation.

*REDEFINING THE PHRASE "DO YOUR BEST"*
✓The joys and pains of you is a result of what you do. If you fail to do the best to fulfill what you desire you end up in pains and vice versa.
✓You need something to feel something else is the norm. When you sit to the chant your daily prayers you can catch your mind racing to, "you need to finish your chants to feel happy."
✓This is vicious because when you do "finish" your prayers you then want to do something else and when you are in the middle of that, you want to finish that as well. As a result, you can't give your best in the present.
✓Only when you offer your gratitude and joy in the "now", do we begin to enjoy the "I" state of existence.
✓Don't let your goals and targets suck out the joy from the present. Doing the best at this moment put you in the best place for the next moment.
✓Reaching this far, names of fellow Malawians who have made it are flooding over my face, we can talk to _*Dr. Thomson Mpinganjira, Mrs. Triphonea Mpinganjira, Dr. Napoleon Dzombe*_ just to mention afew.

8. *Time Management;* time Management is crucial for effective productivity. Use time Management techniques like creating to do lists, setting priorities and blocking out focused work periods. Experiment with different strategies to find what works best for you.
9. *Adaptability;* practice adaptability by intentionally exposing yourself to new experiences. Seek out unfamiliar challenges, engage in problem-solving activities and practice flexibility in your plans when unforeseen circumstances arise.
10. *Celebrate Small Winds;* acknowledges your achievements and celebrate small winds to stay motivated to be the best. Treat yourself for achieving milestones, whether it's a favorite meal, a relaxing day off, or small indulgence.

4. *Self Care;* when doing your best, care as a non-negotiable part of your routine. Create a self-care plan that includes activities like exercise, meditation, reading or spending time with loved ones. Make self care a habit not just something you do when you're stressed.
5. *Confidence Building;* involves recognizing your strengths and accomplishments. Keep a success journal where you document your achievements, big or small. Challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone regularly to build a sense of self-assuredness. When you do your best, build confidence first to avoid facing the moon.
6. *Positive Mindset;* one way of doing your best is to develop a habit of reframing negative thoughts. When faced with a setback, ask yourself what you can learn from it and how you can improve next time. Cultivate a positive internal dialogue and practice self-compassion.
