HESLGB STUDENT LOAN APPEALS 2026/27

The Higher Education Students’ Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) is inviting eligible students to submit appeals for student loans for the 2026/27 academic year.

APPEAL DEADLINE
29 August 2026

WHO CAN APPEAL?

✅ First-year students who missed the application period due to lack of information

✅ Students selected after the loan application period closed

✅ Continuing students whose previous sponsorship has ended

✅ Students who applied but believe they were wrongly excluded from the provisional list

✅ Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) students

WHO CANNOT APPEAL?

❌ Economic fee-paying students

❌ Mature entry students

❌ Weekend programme students

❌ Upgrading students

❌ Diploma students

❌ Bridging course students

❌ Students admitted with fewer than 6 credits

❌ Students with disciplinary issues

❌ Students repeating an academic year

❌ Students in non-accredited programmes
